SCOTUS Approves Whitaker as Acting AG, Dems Turning Away from Pelosi and much more interesting stuff for January 14, 2019

SCOTUS Says Whitaker is Legit Acting AG
Another lame Leftist attempt to overturn the president’s appointment.
WASHINGTON — The U.S. Supreme Court on Monday rejected a challenge to the appointment of Matt Whitaker as acting attorney general.
A similar challenge to the Whitaker appointment is pending in federal court in Maryland.
That one will get overturned too.

U.S. Media Really, Really, R.E.A.L.L.Y. Need Everyone to Know that Justice Ginsberg is Healthy…
They’re desperate! If she does kick off, they’ll try to abscond with the casket to hide it somewhere so they can convince all of us evil conservatives that she’s still alive.
From the NYT: Ruth Bader Ginsburg Is Cancer Free After Surgery, Supreme Court Says
They’ve even got her on their Twitter feed @ https://twitter.com/nytimes/status/1083869191457902592
How far would the left-wing apparatus go to ensure that President Donald Trump does not have an opportunity to replace another supreme court justice? As far as needed…. There are no boundaries too extreme on this issue. None.
If the far-left political and institutional apparatus; including associates within the DOJ and FBI; were willing to work with allies in DC to frame an incredulous “rape gang” narrative against nominee Justice Kavanaugh; knowing their allied media would incredulously push the most absurd claim imaginable;… well, enough said.
Justice Ginsburg will be “working” from home, invisibly, for a year or more… even if in a coma; hooked up to breathing apparatus, and being force-fed through a tube. Watch.

Democrats Don’t Believe in Walls
Unless it’s for their own convention in 2016.
And, how many DimocRAT politicians live in homes with fences and walls?
Hypocrisy.
Democrats built FENCES around their 2016 convention venue to protect themselves from Bernie voters. But a fence to protect YOU from international threats is "IMMORAL"? Really?#Trump #BuildTheWall #BorderSecurity #Shutdown pic.twitter.com/9GqK9VqTSu

Nancy Pelosi WON’T TAKE MEETINGS with Any US Citizen Whose Family Member Was Killed by Illegal Alien
The woman is pure evil!
Speaker Nancy Pelosi refuses to meet with any of the family members whose loved ones were killed by illegal aliens.
Pelosi doesn’t care.

Are Dims Abandoning Pelosi on Border Wall Funding?
And going against Schumer too.
And 5 more videos in the article. It appears that the president standing fast and the massive public support for his actions are having their effects.

5 Insanely Wasteful Taxpayer-Funded Projects that Could Fund the Wall
There are actually more than 5 – no surprise. And the Dims are eager to authorize billions for stuff that doesn’t come near defending our nation.
In 2018, the feds spent a stunning $4.173 trillion. The border wall would amount to just 1/10th of 1 percent of current annual federal spending.
Numbers like that are just too much to really comprehend.
Here the top five of 636 different things that are a total waste of YOUR $$$$$.
Rural Utility Service – $8.2 billion per year.
Sugar subsidies - $6 billion per year
Community development grants – To save $15 billion over 5 years
The United Nations - $10 billion in 2016
Waste, fraud, and abuse - $137 billion on “payment errors”
The article then goes on to list stuff you can’t possibly believe.
The feds spent $613,634 to boost “intimacy and trust” of transgender women and their male partners (The Washington Free Beacon)
Northwestern University has received more than $3 million in National Institutes of Health to watch hamster fights.
The government spent at least $518,000 in federal grants to study how cocaine affects the sexual behavior of Japanese quails,”
The Federal Register is legally required to be printed daily and distributed to Congressional offices despite most never being read and all of the information is available online. Stopping this unnecessary printing would save $1 million a year.  [a drop in the bucket]

JOE BIDEN’S Youngest Brother CONFESSES Most Of Biden Family Voted For…
I think we’re going to run,” Palm Beach County resident Frank Biden told The Palm Beach Post in an interview. “You can say that ‘Frank thinks his brother’s going to run.’ Now, he could surprise me. But I know the family’s behind him 100 percent.”
If that’s the case, why did he admit this:
We never would have lost Pennsylvania, and all my relatives — the Finnegan family — who voted for Donald Trump because they felt slighted by Hillary and her campaign.
Whaaaaaaat.
That’s his mother’s mother’s side of the family.

Libertarian Party organizes national park cleanups

Good for them! It started in DC. Hopefully it can expand and draw more members to the party. Heaven knows we need a viable 3rd party.
What’s going to be curious to see is how the Libertarian Party uses this momentum to advance its agenda in the future. The biggest critique I’ve had of the LP – as a small-l libertarian who isn’t a member of the party – is its seeming disorganization. The park cleanup shows the party is more organized than people realized and it also goes a long way to show people who may not hold to the ideology how free markets can easily replace what the government has seized.
It will also be curious to see what happens once the rest of the government re-opens. Will there be a push to privatize the National Park System or, at least, part of it because of how well the LP did in their organization? Will more people start voting for Libertarian Party candidates in local, state, and federal elections? I don’t expect the government to suddenly give up power, but if there’s enough of a push it might happen in the future.

A soldier saved a car accident victim with nothing but a New Orleans Saints sweatshirt and a ballpoint pen
You see them doing this on TV and wonder if it’s for real.
Well now we know.
How many would even stop to try and help someone in a truck on the side of the highway? And then recognize that the guy had a collapsed lung?
After paramedics showed up, the trooper got Troney something to eat at a truck stop nearby. The paramedics said he’d saved Udger’s life, but Troney was concerned he might be sued if the move with the pen had harmed Udger.
What a sad commentary. Afraid of being sued for saving a man’s life.

Neighbor Who Aided Jayme Closs Were “Armed and Ready”
Let the Leftists scream and rant about gun control. This is exactly why they will never take guns out of the hands of millions of Americans.
When Jayme Closs showed up at their doorstep, the Kasinskas family sprung into action, taking two steps before most anything else. They called 911. And they grabbed their firearms, in case the kidnapped teen’s abductor was in pursuit.
Kristin Kasiskas told Fox News that she and her husband immediately recognized the 13-year-old Wisconsin girl whose October kidnapping captivated the nation when a neighbor, Jeanne Nutter, frantically knocked on their door at 4 p.m. on Thursday.
When our neighbor Jeanne came in with Jayme, she said: ‘Get a gun. We don’t know if he’s after us,’” Kasinskas said. “So we were armed and ready in case this person showed up.”[…]

New California Governor’s Budget Calls for Tax on Drinking Water
The most basic need of all and the crazy Dimocrap governor wants to tax it? How much further afield can the politicos of Mexifornia go?
In order to help disadvantaged communities obtain safe and affordable drinking water, California Governor Gavin Newsom is proposing a new statewide water tax.
In the newly-released 2019-20 budget, Newsom calls for the creation of a "safe and affordable drinking water fund" that would "enable the State Water Resources Control Board to assist communities, particularly disadvantaged communities, in paying for the short-term and long-term costs of obtaining access to safe and affordable drinking water."
Under Governor Moonbeam’s plan, all residents would’ve been taxed 95¢ per month or $11.40 per year. No info on what Newsom’s plan will cost.

California Town’s Latest Firefighters
Sure of a heck lot more effective than the politicians who direct environmental rules and regulations.
California has been ravaged by brutal, ever-worsening wildfires in recent years, with death tolls mounting and costs skyrocketing, but one city has developed an ingenious plan to fight fire…with goats.
Flanked on all sides by forests replete with dried brush and bristles, the perfect kindling for the kinds of wildfires that scorched vast swathes of California in recent years with devastating effect, sits Nevada City.
A bad day would be, you get a call that all your animals are two miles away from where they’re supposed to be,” says Brad Fowler, owner of vegetation management company The Goat Works, which has been employed by the city to clear the dry brush. “The good news is when that happens, people don’t get as upset about it as they would if, say, your bulldozer got loose and ran over a bunch of houses.”
The elite goat team operates as the fire prevention vanguard, which is then followed by human crews armed with chainsaws who clear away the bulkier brush.
I read some time back that goats in the south are cutting into the Kudzu mess.

Who Fact-Checks the Fact-Checkers?
The media can’t wait to point out every word President Trump utters as either being a lie or not factual.
Gone are the days when news shows have actually reported the news. Gone are the days of true journalism.
The latest trick is "fact-checking" President Trump in "real time." I don't recall any mainstream news networks fact-checking Barack Obama. In anticipation of Trump's first Oval Office address, and immediately following, the anti-Trump resistance media went into fact-check mode.
It's as though all the major media organizations read from the same playbook.  Perhaps they do.  A few years ago, "[a]n off-the-record online meeting space called JournoList" was revealed.  The same sort of thing likely still does exist in some other name or form, allowing such immediate coordinated attacks by news organization that are ostensibly in competition with each other.  Yet their reporting and headlines are so coordinated as to suggest a form of collusion or conspiracy.  Maybe Robert Mueller can investigate this.

Groups Lois Lerner’s Targeted Getting Settlement Checks
Almost 6 years and she retired, drawing a pension. At least justice is finally being served.
Most of the claimants will each receive a check for approximately $14,000, Greim said. Five conservative groups that were integrally involved in the lawsuit get a bonus payment of $10,000 each, the attorney said.
About $2 million of the settlement goes to cover the legal costs of five long years of litigation. IRS attorneys attempted delay after delay, objection after objection, trying to use the very taxpayer protection statutes the plaintiffs were suing under to suppress documents.
The agency has admitted no wrongdoing in what a federal report found to be incidents of intrusive inspections of organizations seeking nonprofit status. Greim has said the seven-figure settlement suggests otherwise.
An IRS spokesman declined to comment.

21 Policy Groups Back Lawsuit to End Forced Union Representation
This is a big deal. Already, tens of thousands of government workers are no longer forced to pay union dues. This goes a step further.
If the lawsuit is successful, it would allow publicly employed individuals to negotiate their own contracts instead of having their contracts negotiated by a union against their will. Although current law now forbids unions from taking money from non-union members, the unions still have the ability to require representation from the union.
The Buckeye Institute is arguing that forced representation violates the First Amendment rights of the workers based on precedent set in Janus. In the prior case, the Supreme Court ruled that forced public-sector union dues were unconstitutional based on the First Amendment right of freedom of association. The Buckeye Institute argues that the precedent should apply not just to fees, but to any form of association with a public-sector union.

Another UK Court Travesty
They beat their 8-year-old child to the point of breaking 28 bones.
And for that, they get a whopping 8 years in jail! 8 years.
No word on the status of the child. And I;m willing to bet they’ll be walking free in a couple of years.

Shirley Boone Passes
Few remember her husband, Pat Boone, as a popular singer and host of a TV variety show. They see him in ads on TV and don’t recognize him.
But, he has an amazing story and it’s hard to believe their marriage lasted 65 years!
We lived a wonderful, blessed life together for 65 years,” said Pat. “I’ve parted with my better half for a little while … but we don’t die, we just move on to another place, and today was moving day. She’s changed her address is all and moved to a different mansion that I expect to join her in one day. I’m very confident of that. That took the sting out of what happened today because we know we’re gonna be together again and have a whole new beginning.”
