The military has launched proceedings to expel commando Edward Gallagher from the Navy SEALs – who faced court-martial for war crimes earlier this year – even after President Trump restored his rank in a recent clemency order.
A review hearing scheduled for early December will determine whether Gallagher can continue to be a SEAL, Navy Captain Tamara Lawrence told Reuters. The commando’s own lawyer also confirmed he had been served with a notice informing him of the upcoming hearing.
At this point, why should he care? He’s back at Chief Petty Officer and has indicated he’s putting in his retirement papers. Can you imagine the book deals he’s gonna get? And the speaking fees?
Three of Gallagher’s commanding officers also face individual review hearings to determine whether they will be removed from the SEALs, Lawrence added.

The first was a report from BuzzFeed that as of Wednesday the Trump administration began carrying out a controversial plan to deport asylum-seekers from El Salvador and Honduras—not to their home countries, but to Guatemala, which the administration has designated a “safe third country,” meaning that migrants from those countries must first apply for asylum in Guatemala before seeking asylum in the United States.
The second story was a Los Angeles Times dispatch from the Mexican state of Michoacán, where rival cartels are waging war not over drug trafficking routes but over control of the multibillion-dollar avocado industry. More than a dozen criminal groups are fighting over the avocado trade in and around Uruapan, the capitol of Michoacán, “preying on wealthy orchard owners, the laborers who pick the fruit and the drivers who truck it north to the United States,” writes reporter Kate Linthicum. Organized crime in Mexico, she explains, is diversifying—it isn’t just about drugs anymore:
The country is slowing sinking into anarchy.
And the new president has not but empty platitudes as solutions. He claimed to create a new, non-corrupt, federal police force but it doesn’t seem to be doing much so far.

Additionally, both the DNC organization and Barack Hussein Obama were named in the documents as having direct and indirect ties to this massive corrupt money-laundering operation.

To say that I’m a fan of Star Wars is an understatement. When Return of the Jedi came out in 1983, I actually broke a long-time personal taboo to stand in line to watch it in a movie theater. I’ve watched it so many times since that I can’t count.
So, here are some personal comments.
I really thought this would be the blockbuster of all scifi movies.
The special effects awed me. The first 5 or 6 times. After that, they got boring.
Even Sir Alec was wooden and emotionless. Or, what emotions did get shown weren’t that convincing.
I’ve watched every single film that’s come out since. I never saw an improvement in the acting of Mark Hamill or Carie Fisher. Some of the others did get better.
Will I watch them again?
You bet.
Will I watch this next one?

But voters listen. Ideas matter. They are voting for an American president. They expect him to be American.

Between 2012 and 2014, campaigns and political groups spent a combined $69,000 at Trump businesses, according to the report. That includes 28 foreign governments — including Azerbaijan, India, Kuwait, Turkey, Ukraine, Malaysia, Romania and Saudi Arabia — as well as 41 conservative advocacy organizations, 51 businesses or business groups, 16 charities, 16 religious groups, 12 state or local groups, nine foreign businesses or business groups and six police or fire organizations. For example, T-Mobile executives stayed at Trump International Hotel in Washington while seeking a green light from the federal government for a merger with Sprint.
Do you think it could possibly be that they’ve learned just how good the properties are? With outstanding food and service?
“Trump Organization properties are world-class venues in destination locations that our supporters want to visit and are excited to attend events at,” said Kelly Sadler, spokeswoman for America First Action, a pro-Trump super PAC. “The staff is always respectful, professional and provides best-in-class service.”
Sadler said America First Action, which spent $545,000 at Trump properties since Trump’s election, pays fair market value for its events in compliance with FEC rules and guidance.

Russia sets up helicopter base in Northeast Syria after US withdrawal

Russia has announced that it set up a helicopter base at the northeastern Syrian city of Qamishli following the U.S. troop withdrawal from the area last month.
The Russian Defense Ministry’s Zvezda TV channel showed footage of helicopter gunships arriving at the base, which is protected by Pantsir surface-to-air missile systems.
The helicopters include two Mi-35 gunships and a Mi-8 military transport helicopter, with more to follow, Zvezda Tv said.
Right near the border with Turkey and Iraq.

At a hearing to evaluate border statistics during fiscal year 2019, which ended Sept. 30, Immigration and Customs Enforcement acting Deputy Director Derek Benner told the Senate Homeland Security and Government Affairs Committee that the figure was a result of a DHS initiative called “Operation Noble Guardian” to identify situations “where fraudulent families were released into the interior, and then the children were separated from those unrelated adults and they were taken to an airport and flown back” to Central America.
Yet the Leftists are whining and crying about the fate of these darling children being tortured by separation from the loving parents.
Do you all get this? They bring these kids to the border and pass them off as their own children to gain entry to this country. Then, after they’re in ad reach wherever they plan on going, they load these kids on airplanes and send them back to be recycled again, Just another commodity for the human smugglers to use.

White House unveils rules requiring online disclosure of hospital prices
The Trump administration on Friday unveiled new rules to require increased disclosure of health care prices, in a move officials said would drive down costs by increasing competition.
One regulation would require hospitals to provide a consumer-friendly online page where prices are listed for 300 common procedures like X-rays and lab tests. A second regulation would require insurers to provide an online tool where people could compare their out-of-pocket costs at different medical providers before receiving treatment.

But… what does the hospital charge the insurance company versus what it would accept if the individual paid out-of-pocket?
As always, the Executive Order is a start but the details make all the difference.
Insurers have argued that price transparency could actually drive prices higher if low-cost hospitals can see that competitors are getting higher prices, and seek to raise them. Azar called that argument a “canard” and said in every other industry, price competition drives prices lower, not higher.
The same complaint BigPharma makes about the EO calling for opening of drug prices.

Trump pardoned a convicted war criminal and troops who have yet to stand trial
Trump signed an executive order to grant clemency to US Army 1st Lt. Clint Lorance, who was convicted of ordering soldiers to engage three unarmed Afghan men on a motorcycle, killing two of them in July 2012. Lorance served six years of his 19-year sentence.
Trump also signed an executive order to grant clemency to US Army Maj. Mathew Golsteyn, whose trial has yet to begin. Golsteyn stands accused of killing an unarmed Afghan man in 2010, and later disposing the body in a trash pit.
US Navy Special Warfare Operator 1st Class Edward Gallagher, a Navy SEAL who was demoted after a military trial found him guilty of posing in a picture with the corpse of an Islamic State militant, had his rank reinstated to Chief Petty Officer.
I object to “convicted war criminal” for Edit Gallagher. He was reduced in grade for posing with the body of a dead terrorist after a jury of his peers found him not guilty of ridiculous charges.
Lorance can’t get back the 6 years he lost but will be able to stand straight in front of the world.
Military leadership has been whining that this “degrades the military justice system.” These men were framed during the Obozo anti-military years and I’m glad to see this president set things right.

Seems there’s a loophole in the demand. Bunny Guns, semi-automatic caliber .22 rifles with 10 round magazines are okay. And, they’re selling like crazy.
And these are only those reported by licensed gun dealers. One has to wonder how many other, larger caliber, weapons are coming in “under the counter?”

Mass Live reported Thursday that Massachusetts law Chapter 90 Sec. 16A states: “No person shall cause, suffer, allow or permit the unnecessary operation of the engine of a motor vehicle while said vehicle is stopped for a foreseeable period of time in excess of five minutes.”
This means that idling one’s car for more than five minutes “could result in a $100 fine for the first offense, and up to $500 for each subsequent offense,” the outlet reported.
Got that? You must get into a car covered in ice, start it up, and drive it away. Wonder what that’ll do to engines? You darned well better have the right lubricants and anti-freeze.

Mr Wiese said whale poo is usually a 'pinky-red colour' because of the colour of the krill, but the bright yellow excrement left quite a streak in the ocean.
Now they’re gonna spend forever trying to discover why it happened and if any of the other blue whales in the area do the same.
