U.S. to Cut Off Federal Aid to El Salvador, Guatemala, and Honduras
About time!
Hundreds of millions of dollars down the pits of corruption.
The State Department has made clear it was not just an idle threat. The United States will be blocking all federal aid to El Salvador, Guatemala, and Honduras for their failure to address the flow of migrants. The move comes a day after President Donald Trump blamed the countries for being behind migrant caravans that make their way to the United States. “We were giving them $500 million. We were paying them tremendous amounts of money, and we’re not paying them anymore because they haven’t done a thing for us,” Trump said on Friday. Trump also warned he was ready to close the southern border if Mexico doesn’t do more to push back migrants.
Between 2001 and 2018 Honduras has received $180.9 million
El Salvador received $118.2 million during the same period
And Guatemala got the most, by far @ $257.3 million
Where the hell did it go to?

800 illegals released into the city of McAllen, Texas EVERY DAY. They’ve overwhelmed church and city facilities.
ICE shelters have simply become too overcrowded, and the agency, which can hold migrants for up to 20 days, longer than the 72 hours for the border patrol, has few alternatives.
There’s a bit of justice in this. If one follows the reasoning behind the massive increase of people from Central America massing at out borders, one has to look at the various groups that having been putting all of this together.
These people didn’t do this on their own.
They were organized, provided transportation at times, fed, and provided some forms of shelter.
This is an organized invasion of American soil. I don’t have the exact names but know several are financed by George Soros organizations and the Catholic church.

Former Republican South Carolina Rep. Trey Gowdy predicted Sunday that the U.S. intelligence community might stop providing information to House Intelligence Committee Chairman Adam Schiff because he leaks “like a screen door on a submarine.”
Gowdy was asked to weigh in on Republicans’ decision Thursday to call on Schiff to step down as chairman of the House panel.
“Never seen that before,” said Gowdy, who served on the intelligence panel before leaving Congress in January. “We never voted to remove or ask a chairperson to step down.”
“Adam is a deeply partisan person. He did everything he could to make sure Hillary Clinton became president. And he’s done everything he could to keep a cloud over the Trump presidency,” Gowdy said of Schiff.

Trump goes it alone
I don’t think any-right minded person in this country expects the president to get a single bill through the House for the next 20 months. Not even renaming a court house or post office.
President Trump and his chief of staff, Mick Mulvaney, have realized they’re passing no major legislation through this divided Congress.
So, what will he do?
What to expect: More executive orders, more foreign deals sealed by a presidential signature rather than congressional approval, and more creative applications of the law — for example, declaring a national emergency to build the wall — to get Trump what he wants.

The Dims will do any and everything they can to keep the president from having anything that appears to be a win. And heaven forbid if a SCOTUS vacancy occurs.
On Thursday, McConnell floated a resolution that would limit debate time on the president’s nominees from 30 hours to two hours. The change would only effect executive and judicial nominees, and would not effect cabinet or Supreme Court picks.
Senate Democrats are poised to block the resolution, but McConnell reportedly hopes to use the nuclear option to bypass them.
Remember? Thanks to Dingy Harry, the “Nuclear Option” is a simple majority vote of those present. With Mancini voting with the president, McConnell has a 53-47 lead. There are dozens of appointee vacancies and a hundred plus judicial spots to fill.

Referring to the history of capital punishment, conservative Justice Neil Gorsuch wrote for the court’s majority that “the Eighth Amendment does not guarantee a prisoner a painless death - something that, of course, isn’t guaranteed to many people, including most victims of capital crimes.”
Does that mean that states are now free to reinstate electric chairs, gas chambers, hanging, or even firing squads?
We can only hope.

Feinstein, whose handling of the Brett Kavanuagh confirmation process still rankles conservatives, went on: “Before President Trump took office, the blue slip had been a Senate practice for nearly one century. And during the past 100 years, before this presidency, the Senate confirmed only five judges with only one blue slip, and the last one was in 1989 – and in 100 years the Senate had never confirmed a judge without two blue slips.”

“Beto” O’Rourke is Phony Spanish?
His given name is Robert Patrick. He used the Beto name as a supposed endearment for names in Spanish ending in -erto. According to a Spanish linguist, he’s never heard the name used by Hispanics in more than 60 years. My Mexican hife, however, says it’s common in her home country.
The media is even being fooled by the fake Hispanic name:

What the hell is she doing in the army in the first place? If she’s an active Muslim, she cannot swear “true faith and allegiance to the United States of America.”
The Army started allowing religious exemptions for hijabs, turbans, and beards in 2017, saying that brigade commanders had to make religious accommodations unless the commander believes the requested exemption "is not based on a sincerely held religious belief, or identifies a specific, concrete hazard ... that cannot be mitigated by reasonable measures."

What happened to the concept of respect for another’s views, person, or property?
My car, which has a “Trump/Pence” bumper sticker, was keyed. While pumping gas, a motorist seemed impressed by my courage to have a Trump bumper sticker. People have told me they are afraid to wear a MAGA cap or have a Trump sign on their lawn.
Having to feel so afraid to express our political views is outrageous. Democrats and fake news media have so twisted the meaning of “MAGA” and generated such hatred for Trump that citizens are afraid to publicly support the president of the United States. This is still America. Thugs who physically attack us for expressing our First Amendment right to free speech must be prosecuted.

Nobody talks face-to-face anymore. It’s common to see people sitting at a table to eat, each one of them deep into their own electronic device.
What happened to the days/evenings when we sat on our front porches and shared the days news with friends or neighbors?
Now, faceless posters appear on discussion forums, not responsible to anyone for their vile and hatred.
And people are meaner and nastier today.
Earlier today, my attention was directed to a thread on an Internet discussion forum that lamented how much America had changed over the years.  I don’t know exactly why, but the posts on that thread really touched me.  Those of us that are old enough to remember what America was like before the Internet grew up in a much simpler time.  Yes, we didn’t have all of the luxuries that we take for granted in 2019, but we found joy in the simple things and people were generally much happier.  Today, we seemingly have so much going for us, and yet people are lonelier, more disconnected and more depressed than ever before.  The suicide rate in the United States is up 34 percent since the year 2000, approximately 40 million American adults have an anxiety disorder, and overdosing on drugs is now the leading cause of death for Americans under the age of 50.  Clearly our society is not heading in the right direction.
