Notre Dame fire, Cloned 42,00 year-old horse, Beerhives and Booze Bees, and lots of serious stuff for April 18, 2019

What the Notre Dame Fire Unveils
Islam is at war with Christianity.
And has been for centuries.
Churches here in America have been forced to cover or remove their crosses so as to not insult the sensibilities of “minorities” - a disgusting word to hide the true identity of Muslims.
Christian churches throughout the world are vandalized.
Equally, mosques have been defaced and also vandalized.
I personally believe that Islam is not a religion but a war-like political movement established to gain primacy all over the world.
And, for the life of me, I cannot understand why the Left and its lackey media either ignore or cover up for it. Their constituency is the segment of society most likely to be persecuted by Muslims.
Anyone living an “alternative lifestyle” is facing a possible horrid death.
Atheists will be forced to subjugate themselves or have their possessions taken from them.
There are no “moderate” Muslims. You either follow the teachings of the Koran – or those who’ve set themselves up to lead their congregations – or suffer for it.
Sure there are divisions but mainly about who rules over the followers based on some rather arcane distinctions.
Christianity is not so different. The original rift between the Roman and Byzantium churches followed by the Protestant “reformation” and its own plethora of sects.
The question now arises – what next?
The media loudly screams about the rise of Nazis, and Ultra-nationalists, or any other number of radical groups on the right. It just might be that they are nothing but an expected reaction to the depredations of Leftist/Socialists who are allowing their centers to be attacked.
What is going to light the final match? The one that will set a fire far larger and deadlier than the one that destroyed the roof of an 8 centuries old church in Paris?

Notre Dame Fire Comes Amid Huge Wave of anti-Christian Church Desecrations and Arsons Throughout France
Media hosts and even some forum moderators are doing everything possible to quash any hint that this may have been arson and caused by “somebody” whom we shall never, ever name.
But Rush Limbaugh sure as hell spoke up about it on his show today (4/16).
While it probably was an accident, it is worth pointing out that it happened during Holy Week–the holiest week of the liturgical year– amid a disturbing wave of anti-Christian attacks on Catholic churches throughout France.
In just one week in March, a dozen churches were desecrated in different regions of France in what appeared to be “obvious” cases of anti-Christian vandalism, according to ABC Internacionala conservative Spanish daily paper.
France has seen a spate of attacks against Catholic churches since the start of the year, vandalism that has included arson and desecration.
Vandals have smashed statues, knocked down tabernacles, scattered or destroyed the Eucharist and torn down crosses, sparking fears of a rise in anti-Catholic sentiment in the country.
And it’s happening in other countries throughout Europe. We won’t even discuss the thousands of Christian churches razed in the Middle East and in Africa.

Talia Lavin: Ben Shapiro ‘evoked the specter’ of war between Islam and the West
I had to look up who Talia Lavin is. According to InfluenceWatch, he’s an “extremism researcher” for the left-of-center media criticism organization Media Matters for America, a position she’s held since July 2018. Lavin has also been a freelance writer for publications such as the Washington Post and Lilith magazine. She resigned from a prior position as a fact-checker with the New Yorker in June 2018 after she falsely labeled an Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agent’s U.S. Marine Corps unit tattoo a neo-Nazi symbol.
And Ben Shapiro, according to Wiki, an American conservative political commentator, writer, and lawyer. He has written ten books, the first being 2004's Brainwashed: How Universities Indoctrinate America's Youth; Shapiro began writing this book at age 17. Also at age 17, he became the youngest nationally syndicated columnist in the United States. He writes columns for Creators Syndicate and Newsweek, serves as editor-in-chief for The Daily Wire, which he founded, and hosts The Ben Shapiro Show, a daily political podcast and radio show. He was an editor-at-large of Breitbart News between 2012 and 2016.
In other words, 2 political/journalist wonks are trading barbs over the Notre Dame fire as if they are wold-class pundits speaking for the world at large.
So, who cares?

European Churches: Vandalized, Defecated On, and Torched ‘Every Day’
At last! The media is telling people the truth. Hidden or ignored for far too long, the attacks by Muslims against churches are being reported.
In France, two churches are desecrated every day on average. According to PI-News, a German news site, 1,063 attacks on Christian churches or symbols (crucifixes, icons, statues) were registered in France in 2018. This represents a 17 percent increase compared to the previous year (2017), when 878 attacks were registered — meaning that such attacks are only going from bad to worse.
Similar reports are coming out of Germany. Four separate churches were vandalized and/or torched in March alone. “In this country,” PI-News explained, “there is a creeping war against everything that symbolizes Christianity: attacks on mountain-summit crosses, on sacred statues by the wayside, on churches… and recently also on cemeteries.”
Who is primarily behind these ongoing and increasing attacks on churches in Europe? The same German report offers a hint: “Crosses are broken, altars smashed, Bibles set on fire, baptismal fonts overturned, and the church doors smeared with Islamic expressions like ‘Allahu Akbar.'”
Another German report from November 11, 2017 noted that in the Alps and Bavaria alone, around 200 churches were attacked and many crosses broken: “Police are currently dealing with church desecrations again and again. The perpetrators are often youthful rioters with a migration background.” Elsewhere they are described as “young Islamists.”
And on and on it goes. One report after another.
When someone or some groups tries to stand up against this, what happens? They get labeled Nazis or White Supremacists. What the hell is wrong with fighting for ones beliefs?

Anti-Trump Pulitzer Prize Winners Announced
The Pulitzer Prize is an award for achievements in newspaper, magazine and online journalism, literature, and musical composition in the United States.
It’s administered by Columbia University in NYC.
And anyone want to guess who this year’s winners are?
National Reporting = staff of Glenn Simpson’s old stomping grounds, The Wall Street Journal for “uncovering President Trump’s secret payoffs to two women during his campaign who claimed to have had affairs with him, and the web of supporters who facilitated the transactions, triggering criminal inquiries and calls for impeachment.”
Breaking photography = staff of Reuters or “a vivid and startling visual narrative of the urgency, desperation and sadness of migrants as they journeyed to the U.S. from Central and South America.”
Breaking news reporting – Staff of Pittsburgh Post Gazette for “immersive, compassionate coverage of the massacre at Pittsburgh’s Tree of Life synagogue that captured the anguish and resilience of a community thrust into grief.”

Pulitzer Prizes and Howling Omissions
This Oped explains how all the judges are from far left publications; the Associated Press, Bloomberg News, NPR, The New York Times, The Washington Post, USA Today, ProPublica and, of course, the Columbia School of Journalism, which runs the whole racket.
Do you think their selections might be biased?
The real Pulitzer surprise was the public service prize awarded to the South Florida Sun Sentinel for its reporting on the Parkland mass shooting. That might sound like a gun control advocate's dream. But the Sun Sentinel's reporting turned all the conventional "wisdom" on its head. Instead of blaming the gun lobby, the paper found that the school system failed to offer counseling services to the killer, Nikolas Cruz; school monitors failed to stop his entrance; and eight sheriff's deputies stood outside the school listening to gunshots inside.

Scientists attempt cloning extinct horse after LIQUID BLOOD found in 42,000-year-old remains
Wooly Mamoths, giant bears, and now ancient horses.
Plans were unveiled last year to build a cloning center for the North-Eastern Federal University (NEFU) in Yakutsk, at the cost of $5.9 billion. The center, according to NEFU rector Evgenia Mikhailova, would include a “world class” paleo-genetic lab, which would study extinct animals using living cells, ultimately with a goal of bringing them back to life.
Makes one wonder what other creatures might be cloned. Some that are now extinct?

The Democrats' Crowded Clown Car
Those of us who support President Trump can only sit back with huge grins. Almost too many to keep track of.
But, they all seem to stand for one thing – free bread for the masses.
Doesn’t history tell us how that worked for the Romans and other dictatorships?
Overwhelming” is the only word which properly describes the growing list of 2020 Presidential candidates vying to unseat Donald Trump. To date, there are the officially declared, the yet to declare, and a handful of teetering outliers. The outliers aren’t in the running per se, but in the event no Democrat is able to garner the party nomination, one of them might be persuaded to step up to the podium.
The Declared Candidates: Bernie Sanders, Kamala Harris, Elizabeth Warren, Robert O’Rourke, Pete Buttigieg, Corey Booker, Amy Klobuchar, Andrew Yang, Julian Castro, Kirsten Gillibrand, Jay Inslee, Tulsi Gabbard, John Hickenlooper, John Delaney, Eric Swalwell, Tim Ryan, Wayne Messam, and Marianne Williamson.
The Undeclared candidates: Joe Biden, Steve Bullock, Stacey Abrams, Michael Bennet, Terry McAuliffe, Seth Moulton, and Howard Schultz.
The Outliers: Bill de Blasio, John Kerry, Hillary Clinton, Eric Holder, and Tom Steyer.
Count ‘em. 30!
And there are probably still more lurking in the weeds.

Three Questions to Ask Liberals
Ask and watch how quickly they change the subject. Or divert. Or attack. It’s the way they operate.
Here they are:
Would you want it to come out of your pocket?
Are we raising people up or yanking them down?
You feel good, but do you do good?
Those are my words but seems to sum up the piece.
Envy, liability, and results are the thrust of this checklist. If someone is advocating for an envy-based policy, it is a bad idea and will likely fail. If people are insulated from the consequences of a policy they are advocating for, should it fail, they will experience no consequences for their failure. This is a poor method for policy implementation. Finally, if people are implementing a policy with no concern for the results, caring about only the gesture itself, then these people are unfit for policy decisions in the future. Many things sound and feel good but do not actually end up doing good in the end.
By asking these three questions, any conservative can identify unsound policy and immoral intentions and assess whether to repeat a policy implemented elsewhere. Envy, liability, and results are a great litmus test for both the neophyte and the seasoned scholar for policy appraisal.

The Best Hike in Every State
The opening of this piece amazes me. I can only guess that it’s Hawaii and wonder how any human being could possibly follow these rims.
It’s a long piece but I’m sure each of you will check out your state to see if it meets your standards.
I bet not many people associate this with The Casino Capitol, Nevada. The (Lake) Tahoe Rim Trail. I can think of a few others like Red Rock Canyon and Valley of Fire.
Another surprise. New Jersey has lots of open spaces.

Michael Moore Fires Off at Pelosi
The Left is beginning to turn on itself.
How much more of this will we see in the coming months?
White people. Nobody likes giving up power. And they never see the writing on the wall. The new day arrives and no one has the heart to tell them they and their old tired privileged ways are over. https://t.co/jAGjzEjLgp

At the time, Pelosi seemed to throw shade at the self-described democratic socialist, saying the Democrats won the 2018 midterm elections by flipping 43 seats in the House and that “a glass of water with a ‘D’ next to its name” could win in districts Ocasio-Cortez’s.

Beerhives and Booze Bees
How many know what mead is?
It was an extremely popular drink for many centuries throughout the world. It’s all but disappeared now.
But, it appears there is a species of bees that produce something called “bee beer.”
These are the structures made by the ‘booze bee,’ (Apis mellifera mirabilis) which is a new species of honey bee spreading through the southeastern United States and Caribbean. Beerhives are noteworthy mostly for the unique nature of their honeycombs, which are saturated with ethyl alcohol. About a pound of Beerhive honeycomb can be mixed with a gallon of water to produce an extremely tasty alcoholic beverage called ‘bee-beer’ (it’s even mildly carbonated). Strictly speaking, bee-beer isn’t actually beer, but not many people really care; and the ones that do care don’t really mind. It tastes great and has a nice kick to it, which is the important thing.
And people who are helping produce it aren’t spreading the word.
All of this is necessary to understand why all those people in rural areas who make moonshine have now also taken up beekeeping. Bee-beer by itself is worth quite a bit; and since booze bees make excellent pollinators, it can surprisingly difficult for law enforcement officials to get a search warrant in order to disturb “a critical species’ habitat.” That in itself is not a particular issue, but illegal distillers are not the only people who like to do their thing out in the wilderness. Smugglers, ritual killers, apocalyptic cults, demon worshippers: the list of groups up to no good and ready to discourage casual looks by law enforcement is long, and having a few beerhives around is an excellent, plausible explanation for why people are being so furtive, over there in the back forty. Besides, even followers of the Demon-Lord of the Bitter Harvest can appreciate a good glass of bee-beer.

Orbital Billboards?
Of all the stupid, ignorant ideas? This tops them all.
Gaze up to enjoy a beautiful starry night.
What do you see?
A blasted billboard touting Pepsis and Russian booze?
Gimme a break.

A Frisco public pooping map
The beautiful City by the Bay.
Yeah.
By many measures, San Francisco is a world-class city. It’s a tourist mecca that boasts 25 million visitors each year. It’s home to wonders of the modern world – the Golden Gate Bridge and its iconic cable cars – as well as powerful progressive politicians, including House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, Governor Gavin Newsom, and U.S. Senator (and presidential hopeful) Kamala Harris.
The broader San Francisco Bay Area can also claim Silicon Valley and its booming economy.
But the city itself is in trouble. Today, San Francisco hosts an estimated homeless population of 7,500 people. Affluent sections of the city have become dangerous with open-air drug use, tens of thousands of discarded needles, and, sadly, human feces.
Since 2011, there have been at least 118,352 reported instances of human fecal matter on city streets.
I was stationed at the Presidio twice and generally found the city to be beautiful and filled with interesting places. So it saddens me to see how badly it has fallen under the guiding hands of the Hippies who have grown up to be its leaders. Perhaps they’re so busy continuing their love fests to see the problem they’ve caused?

NYT: Dem leadership holding secret Stop Bernie meetings in NY, DC
Does this sound familiar to anyone? Didn’t the same thing happen the last time, when Bernie ran against Shrillary?
The message from Democratic activists supplying the New York Times with this warning is clear — stop Bernie Sanders. Sanders and his supporters could prevent the Democratic primaries from securing a nominee to face Donald Trump, Jonathan Martin reports, thanks to the large field and rules changes made by the party after 2016. And some Democrats are taking the possibility seriously enough to play right into Bernie’s hands.

This is what your clothing color says about you at work
Clearly a piece for you ladies. Us poor guys are stuck with suits and ties and just about the same old colors for all.
When it comes to color, most people fall into one of two camps; those who use their clothing to express themselves, and those who couldn’t care less.
Whether or not you are consciously aware of how color impacts your decision-making, self confidence, or impressions of others, however, is irrelevant. At the end of the day your color choices matter, especially when it comes to dressing appropriately for significant, high-pressure situations in the workplace.
Power colors” are blue, green, or purple?
Avoid them when working in groups.
Job interviews = When it comes to dressing for a job interview, Eiseman believes color choices should be a function of the job and industry itself. Darker power colors like navy, black, and charcoal convey a sense of seriousness and trustworthiness, and are best suited for roles and industries that value consistency and reliability. “But pair it with something that will make you more memorable,” advises Eiseman, adding that it’s hard to stand out when you dress like every other applicant.

Great white sharks are afraid of Orcas
I find myself shaking my head over this. It says this study was just released. Yeah? I read about this years ago. It’s been known to fishermen for years that Orcas attacks sharks, butting them to break their ribs, to protect their young.
A new study led by the Monterey Bay Aquarium and published Tuesday in Nature found great white sharks leave their “preferred hunting ground” when orcas — also known as killer whales — enter it. In fact, researchers found the sharks won’t return to those areas for roughly a year — even if the orcas don’t stay that long.

Anonymous Sources Say Trump Tells Aides to Be Combative Before Congress
Here we go. Another “anonymous sources” hit piece from The Washington Pile of …
And, so what?
The House clearly has an agenda opposing the president. Why shouldn’t he and his people fight back? He was constitutionally elected president whether the Dims like it or not.
How does Kim know White House officials were thrilled? How does she know who gets praised for their performances on Capitol Hill and who does not? How does she know the president watches and assesses these programs and, in fact, values confrontation in them?
It’s “according to a senior administration official who spoke on condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to talk to the media.”

Illegal Immigrants Claim Their Local Newspapers In Central America Encourage People To Flee To America
It’s all part of a clear plan to destabilize the United States of America. And a desperate ploy by a political party that is losing control daily. Bring the illegals in and them give them the power to vote – for Dimocraps.
The whole word knows, they put it in the news. They tell us everywhere if you come to the United States, they’ll help you,” said a Honduran woman apprehended at the southern border near the Rio Grande Valley. Speaking to CBS 4 news, a local news outlet, she and her family claimed they decided to make the trek to the U.S.-Mexico border after seeing several advertisements.
Numerous ads in Central America, reportedly paid for by operatives in the human smuggling business, are promising locals jobs and free help from the U.S. if they reach the border.
Yes, we’ve been told that, we read it on our newspapers. That’s why we’re here,” said a Guatemalan pastor who was also apprehended in the Rio Grande valley area.
Additionally, the ads are telling readers that they have a better chance of getting through law enforcement if they bring a child: “We’ve been told if you are a father you can bring your child and you will be helped here if you’re in that situation,” the pastor explained.

HIV used to cure 'bubble boy' disease
One shakes ones head in amazement as how researchers manage to figure out how to create good out of seemingly evil and deadly things. And it shows just why Saint Jude’s needs all the support we can give it.
The "correct" gene - used to fix the defect - was inserted into an altered version of one of HIV, the virus that causes AIDS.
Researchers said most of the babies were discharged from the hospital within one month.
Dr Ewelina Mamcarz of St Jude, an author of the study, said in a statement: "These patients are toddlers now, who are responding to vaccinations and have immune systems to make all immune cells they need for protection from infections as they explore the world and live normal lives."
