Trump signs executive order putting Chik-fil-A on every military base
Not quite what it sounds like. All this does is allow the company access to military bases as they desire to open corporate or franchise outlets. Here at Neliis, there’s a Boston Market, Taco Bell, Burger King, Popeye’s, Arby’s, Del Taco, and Papa John’a Pizza.
Still, the restaurant hailed Trump’s decision, which would give it access to bases in the continental U.S. and abroad. A spokesman said Chik-fil-A planned to open its restaurants first at major Air Force, Navy, and Army bases, while adding that if there was any left over, it might open a hand-me-down restaurant at one or two of the major Marine Corps bases.
Just definitely not at 29 Palms,” the spokesman said.

UK: Westminster vehicular jihadi is Muslim migrant Salih Khater,
cops still trying to establish motive
I read this stuff and shake my head in disbelief. They call him a “jihadi” and then question his motives?
Just how stupid can they be? Or has the UK descended into utter ignorance?

San Francisco Launching New ‘Poop Patrol’ to Deal With Dirty Streets
What about all the used syringes? Read somewhere that the initial cost to the taxpayers is going to be over $100,000.
While San Francisco has been doing its best to become a model progressive city by doing dumb things like banning plastic straws, its streets have gone to hell.
Human excrement on sidewalks has become such a pervasive problem that the city is launching a “Poop Patrol.”

Jihadi Compound in New Mexico Is Destroyed Mysteriously by Authorities — What’s Going On?
The answer is simple – the authorities are scouring the place for evidence to support holding the jihadis on high bail and charging them with serious crimes. In addition, the compound builders did not have proper authority to be there in the first place and someone will probably come along to further clear away the rubbish and trash.
One day it was there and the world shuddered at its existence — as well as at the understanding of the horrible events that occurred inside its fragile walls.
And now the controversial makeshift compound in rural New Mexico is practically gone, virtually bulldozed to the ground, according to reports that are still emerging.

Nice Ladies Leaving the Democratic Party
153,133 followers as of 8/17.
Page after page of videos
My personal favorites are what I call “nice ladies driven away by Democrat hate.” During and after the election, many women stopped buying what the Dems are selling. They come from every generation, sexual orientation, race, ethnicity, and region of America. These women warm my heart because I have been waiting and hoping that ordinary Democratic voters would be revolted by their party’s embrace of vitriol and violence. It appears to be happening at last. They are walking away from Democrat politicians, cultural and media icons. The treatment of Trump and his voters has been a step too far.
Bottom line: these nice, normal women don’t feel comfortable being members of a club full of haters.
The open hate and violence of Antifa and other Leftists is catching up with them. It doesn’t mean these people are turning to the GOP only that it makes them unlikely to vote for DimocRAT candidates this November.

Factory workers talk about how much those Trump ‘crumbs’ have meant to them
To hell with Pelosi and her biased commentary. Average Americans don’t think the tax breaks are crumbs.
Democrats and the media screeched that “more of the benefits” were going to corporations because the corporate tax rate got cut from 35 percent to 21 percent, while individual income tax rates were cut by much smaller percentages. But when tax rates change, economic behavior changes because more capital is freed up for use in the private sector.
The employees didn’t only benefit from their own personal rate cuts. They also benefited because some of the things the company decided to do with its new found capital would benefit the as well. And it’s that way with every company. If you have more capital, you can use it for raises or bonuses, or for plant expansions or new product rollouts, or to pay down debt that will reduce your debt service and consequently your overhead.

Apparently no one much cares if the president ‘acts presidential’, whatever that means
I sure as hell don’t! I like him exactly as he is and wouldn’t want him to change one iota.
One of the things most people assumed had some truth to it, up until now, was that it was very important for a president to “act presidential”, or to conduct himself with “presidential comportment.” That presumably meant that the president needed to be very careful in what he said, to operate above the fray, to avoid inflammatory or divisive language and to maintain a statesmanlike demeanor at all times.
If he did not, bad things would happen. People would get upset. Ill-advised messages would be sent. International relations and markets would be roiled, all because everyone waits with bated breath to dissect the words of our leader.
So, as he doesn’t – the sky is falling! We’re ruined!

Blackwater Founder Wants to Privatize Afghan War
Would that really be such a bad thing? Remove ALL US active-duty personnel and let the private company handle everything to include dealing with Afghan troops and politicians.
Between 2001 and 2017, the US spent an estimated $714 billion on a war that many observers argue America is still far from winning, Task & Purpose reported last August. Prince intends to privatize the conflict to reduce US manpower in the country and ultimately reduce spending.
He claims he can do it with $3.5 billion and a few thousand men.
Sure as hell gotta be better than we’re doing now!
[Am watching his pitch right now ofnFox’ Tucker Carlson]\

Panhandling veteran gets up out of his wheelchair and walks.
Not exactly the car of a truly needy person.
A local reporter here in Vegas made it a point of watching so-called homeless people when they left their corners. Most of them joined their partners, got into fairly new vehicles, and drove to upper middle class homes. Some of these people make hundreds of dollars every day and don’t report a single penny for taxes.

CNN Demands Names of Manafort Jurors
Thuggery beyond belief.
A judge will apparently hold a hearing on the motion.
No name given but no doubt an Obozo appointee.
CNN Just Sued The Government To Get The Names And Addresses Of Manafort Jurors @ https://thefederalist.com/2018/08/17/cnn-just-sued-government-get-names-addresses-manafort-jurors/
The motion — filed on behalf of CNN, Washington Post, BuzzFeed, POLITICO, New York Times, NBC Universal, and the Associated Press — asks the court to provide to the media organizations the full names and home addresses of the men and women who were summoned and selected by the federal government to serve as jurors in Manafort’s fraud case.

Freight Haulers Order 45,000 New Big Rigs in 2018
Backlog for delivery extends into 2019
Truck drivers, as we’ve previously reported on this blog, are in big demand. The hours are long, some of the onerous regulations from the Obama era are still in place, and the pay is from $66k to $71k per year. Some haulers add percs and often allow spouses to team up.
North American freight-haulers ordered more than 300,000 Class 8 trucks in the first seven months of this year and are on track to order a record 450,000 of the heavy-duty vehicles for the full year, according to ACT Research. That would be the largest book since 2004, when orders reached 390,000, according to analysts.
This also points out that the manufacturers need employees.
