Other than “The
Wedding” most of the news is so-so and rather dull. So, here’s
what I managed to come up with for today:
Outside
the Defensible Perimeter
Every
American should read this piece! It is one of the most powerful
essays I’ve ever read about life on the desert border.
We
are the deplorables. All of my rancher neighbors have guns. Most are
Evangelicals. To Democrats and open-borders Republicans, we are
throwaway people. The Other. Disposable.
The
reason I am not naming names, even place names, is that these are my
neighbors’ stories, not mine, and my neighbors—farmers, cowboys,
and ranching families, strong, resourceful, tough people—my
neighbors are wary and they are weary. They fear retribution by the
drug runners and coyotes who bring the illegals across, because they
have seen it happen.

Hell
on Heels: Trump’s Tough Broads
Some
claimed Donald Trump was afraid of strong women. If that’s the
case, he certainly put a lie to it by the women he has appointed to
important positions within his administration.
Here’s
this article’s take on them:
This
week, the women of the Trump administration displayed more testicular
fortitude than the combined cajones of the liberal weenies who served
in the Obama White House for eight years.
Nikki
Haley put the Palestinians in their place at the UN and DHS Secretary
Kirstjen Nielsen stood up to a California DimocRAT Senator over the
treatment of illegal aliens. What will Haspel do at the CIA to clean
up things there?
It’s
going to be an interesting 6+ years.
Trump
Going Full Alinsky, Flumoxing his Opponents
I like
this article. First off, it points out that Obama’s idol had little
in common with modern Leftists. [And I love that word “flumox.”]
"Alinsky
was an aggressively anti-communist, anti-big government, populist
with a healthy contempt for liberals." He would more likely be
found at a Tea Party rally wearing a MAGA hat than at a resistance
march wearing a pink pussy hat.
So
what is the president doing to drive his opponents up the wall?
"Power
is not only what you have, but what the enemy thinks you have."
"Never
go outside the expertise of your people."
"Whenever
possible, go outside the expertise of the enemy."
"Make
the enemy live up to its own book of rules."
"Ridicule
is man's most potent weapon."
"A
good tactic is one your people enjoy."
"Keep
the pressure on. Never let up."
"Pick
the target, freeze it, personalize it, and polarize it."

CNN
“experts” call Trump and his supporters ‘everyday racists’
Doesn’t
this make you feel all warm and fuzzy? Watch the video if you have
the stomach for it.

Senate
Republicans May Cancel August Recess and That’s Bad News for
Democrats
Sounds
good but I don’t for a moment believe they’ll do it. Seems
McConnell is meeting with Schumer, giving him the option of stopping
the obstructionism or facing losing campaigning time.
Mealy-mouthed
Mich has always discounted it in the past but he’s not so hot on
stopping it this time. It’ll be interesting to see what happens.
Who
Paid the Gaza “Demonstrators $100 per Day?”
Obama!
That
reporter [Daniel Greenfield of Front
Page Mag], discovered that merely
participating in the protests earned $100, while being shot (whether
with real or rubber bullets) garnered $200, severe injuries netted
$500 and death warranted a $3,000 payment to the surviving family.
And
where did those millions come from?
Iran.
And
where did Iran get the money?
The
answer lies with those pallets loaded with cash and gold delivered to
Iran in cargo planes by the Obama administration to help secure the
release of hostages and Iran’s involvement in the ridiculous
nuclear deal.

Stupid
Foreign Policy’s Futility
How
much precious blood did we spill to save the Iraqis from the tyranny
of Saddam Hussein? How much American treasure was spent on two
fruitless wars? And what is the result.
In
spite of American efforts to support his opponent, the Iraqi people
elected Muqtada al-Sadr as
the next Prime Minister.
Why
did the US oppose him? One has to think back to the end of the war
when various groups struggled for power. Al-Sadr had his own militia
and didn’t exactly go along with the way the US wanted it to. In
fact, he was considered an outlaw.
On
the bright side, the Wall
Street Journal reported,
in fact, the person best placed and most likely to pursue the one
objective that is in America’s own interest: posing obstacles to
Iran’s expansion, is precisely Muqtada al-Sadr.

interesting article outlines what happened and what the future might
hold in store for Iraq @
