Trump’s company exploring sale of landmark Washington hotel
The president can’t win!
Leftists moan and groan about all the money he makes from the hotel. Reports say it took in $41 million in 2018 and goes against the emolument clause of the constitution. It also notes that, after leasing it from the government, Trump spend $200 million renovating the post office into a luxury hotel. All before he decided to run for president.
But, if he tries to sell it?
“If the Trump Organization puts out a ‘For Sale’ sign on the Trump International Hotel and seeks and takes bids, it will create massive conflicts of interests with the deep-pocketed individuals, foreign governments, investment funds or corporations that could afford to make such a purchase,” said Robert Weissman, president of Public Citizen, a liberal-leaning consumer advocacy group.
And he’s pulled the Trump name from a lot of other properties just to try to calm critics. And that doesn’t work. I hope to hell the Trump company keeps it. Maybe take it to court to get a ruling about the constitutionality of making money off of it.

He served two terms as an elected member of the Ukrainian Parliament and is a proponent of closer ties between Ukraine and the European Union.”

Yet the very fact that someone in the Trump administration talked to Ukrainians about the possibility of building a hotel there – before Donald J Trump was elected president – is somehow grounds for impeachment.

A little more truth about the situation.
In the midst of the bloody war in Syria, the Kurds took advantage of the chaos and claimed control over northern Syria in 2012. They established a so-called “government” there led by the Kurdish Democratic Union Party or PYD. Its armed force is the YPG (People’s Protection Units), which is the Syrian wing of the PKK (Kurdistan Workers’ Party). The Syrian Democratic Forces in northern Syria, which much of the media hails as “America’s greatest ally in the region” is also led by the YPG.
And Assad is taking advantage of the situation to regain territory that once was his.

The charter flights on which many Cuban-Americans travel to Cuba from Miami are not affected by the change.
Thousands will still visit the island in cruise ships.

The History of CTRL + ALT + DELETE
I know it’s there but don’t think I’ve ever used it. If it comes down to it, I always go to the start menu and restart there.
In 2013, Bill Gates admitted ctrl+alt+del was a mistake and blamed IBM. Here’s the story of how the key combination became famous in the first place.
And here’s the culprit:
(David) Bradley worked on everything from writing input/output programs to troubleshooting wire-wrap boards. Five months into the project, he created ctrl+alt+del. The task was just another item to tick off his to-do list. “It was five minutes, 10 minutes of activity, and then I moved on to the next of the 100 things that needed to get done,” he says. Bradley chose the keys by location—with the del key across the keyboard from the other two, it seemed unlikely that all three would be accidentally pressed at the same time. Bradley never intended to make the shortcut available to customers, nor did he expect it to enter the pop lexicon. It was meant for him and his fellow coders, for whom every second counted.

Darod's sub-clans are Majeerteen, Ogaden, Dhulbahante, Marehan, Leelkase, Warsangeli, Awrtable, Jidwaaq, and Hawiye's sub-clans are Duduble, Abgaal, Xawaadle, Habar Gidir, etc. That includes people born in Somalia and of Somalia descent.
Some experts estimate there are 80,000 Somalis just in Minnesota.

Arizona has seen notable Somali migration in recent years, mostly to Phoenix (especially the suburb of Glendale) and Tucson. Other states with significant Somali communities include Ohio, California, Georgia, Washington, Texas, Massachusetts, Maryland, Virginia, Illinois, Colorado and Florida.

The author is referring to Lewiston, Maine, a city that experienced a big influx of Somalis.
Lewiston today has one of the highest per capita Muslim populations in the United States, most of it Somali along with rising numbers of refugees and asylum-seekers from other African nations including Congo, Djibouti, Sudan, and Chad. What’s happening here is isbeddel, the Somali word for transformation.
Getting right down to it, this author is trying to paint the transformation of Lewiston as something good – not just for the town but the state.

The chairmen and ranking members of the House and Senate Armed Services Committees sent a letter to Defense Secretary Mark Esper on Tuesday expressing concern about staffing vacancies in the office overseeing special operations.
Does that mean there are a lot of vacant offices in the Five Sided Puzzle Palace? Could it be something that’s on purpose? More Draining the Swamp?
The article spends a lot of time bemoaning the resignations of civilians in the Special Operations field. I’m just wondering if they shouldn’t also be bemoaning the senior officers left to run the programs without them.

The A-29 comes equipped with two internal .50-cal machine guns with space for additional underwing armaments like 20mm gun pods or MK-81 and Mk 82 bombs, according to Embraer; by comparison, Textron boasts, the Wolverine is "the first fixed-wing aircraft to employ 2.75" laser-guided rockets successfully" and uses an adaptable system to carry all manner of ordnance.
It doesn’t say in this article, but I think both aircraft are already operational in other air forces.

Nancy Pelosi doesn’t see “the point” in enforcing immigration law
She won’t lift a finger to try to make the changes needed to correct the problems with current immigration laws. She’ll make all sorts of noises but will, in the end, blame President Trump when the 2 weeks are up.
While discussing immigration at a town hall on Monday, Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi (D., Calif.) asked her audience, “what’s the point?” of enforcing immigration with the United States’ bounds.
“When I saw the president was going to have these raids, it’s so appalling, it’s outside the realm of civilized human behavior, just kicking down doors and splitting up families in addition to the injustices that are happening at the border,” she said. “We have legislation to go forward to address those needs. But in terms of interior enforcement, what’s the point?”
Pelosi went on to say that she would not pursue the question further, as this was not a “political event.”

Sign Of The Times? Weather Patterns All Over The Planet Are Going Absolutely Nuts
A place in England just got over 1 foot of rain in less than an hour.
And, of course, it’s all President Trump’s fault.
Record high temperatures are being shattered all over the planet, but meanwhile some parts of the U.S. were just buried by massive amounts of snow. The sixth largest city in India is literally running out of water due to extremely dry conditions, but in middle America it just won’t stop raining. In fact, the Midwest is getting hammered by more severe storms as I write this article. Meanwhile, Australia is being forced to import enormous amounts of wheat due to the extraordinary drought that nation is currently experiencing. Everywhere you look around the globe we see bizarre weather extremes. Worldwide weather patterns are shifting dramatically, and many believe that what we have witnessed so far is just the beginning.
Just look at what is happening in Colorado.  Some parts of the state got up to 20 inches of snow on Saturday, and as a result Colorado’s snowpack is currently more than 4,000 percent above normal…
More than 4.6 million people live in the city of Chennai, India.  Thanks to a drought that never seems to end, the main reservoirs that normally supply that city with water are rapidly going dry…
In the next few days, high temperatures are expected to exceed 40 degrees Celsius (104 degrees Fahrenheit) in Spain, and that prompted one meteorologist to warn that “hell is coming”…
Temperatures are likely to climb above 40 degrees Fahrenheit in parts of Spain and approach that in Germany, Switzerland, and Belgium. Overnight temperatures will stay balmy, which poses particularly acute health risks to children and the elderly.
More than 50 million people are bracing for severe weather from the Plains to the Southeast as scattered thunderstorms prompt flash flood alerts, possible tornadoes and hail.
A large weather system is expected to bring damaging wind gusts and large hail for parts of the South and into the Appalachians, Ohio Valley and Great Lakes.
Heavy rain and flash flooding inundated parts of southwest Missouri during the weekend, prompting water rescues and evacuations.

Europe swelters as historic heat wave intensifies
Extreme heat causes people to hunker down and just might temper or stop the demonstrations that have gone on across Europe for some time. I don’t remember A/Cs or swamp coolers so there will be a whole lot of fans working full tilt.
What's next: The period from Wednesday through Sunday will feature blistering heat across Spain, Portugal, southern France and Italy, with unusually hot conditions stretching north and eastward into Switzerland, Belgium, the Netherlands and Germany.
Numerous daily and monthly temperature records are already falling as the hot air mass, known as a Sahara Plume, sets up shop.
On Wednesday, Poland already set a new June temperature record for the country, as did Germany. A station in Berlin reached 101.5°F, which ranks as Germany's hottest June temperature as well.
France had its hottest June day on record Wednesday, and the country's all-time high temperature for the country of 44.1°C, or 111.4°F, may be within reach.
According to weather.com, other countries that could see monthly high temperature records set include: Austria, the Czech Republic, Luxembourg and Switzerland. Each of these countries' record June high temperatures were set during the past two decades.

I don’t doubt it. Every time I turn around I find another popup trying to get me to switch to Chrome as my primary browser. I’ll stick to Firefox thank you with reluctantly using Edge because it’s the only way I can access Gab.

Baby Boomers are living longer even as the workers who pay for their pensions are dying from an epidemic of drug overdose, suicide, car accidents, and violence. But, of course, while this sudden increase in working-age death rates is a new concern, the long-run fiscal crunch has been obvious for decades. For virtually the entire period of Boomer political dominance, it has been obvious that long-term obligations needed to be fixed. And yet, the problem has not been fixed. Younger Americans will suffer the consequences.

Venezuela’s under Cuba’s thumb?
So says Christopher Figuera, the former Venezuela spy master. He says Maduro’s personal security are Cubans and other Cubans are his closest advisors. And we all know that Cuba is being controlled by strings leading to Moscow.
This very lengthy article tells of the planned coup and who it failed.
Power outages in March paralyzed the country and Cuba promised to send “advisors” to help.
When the call ended, Figuera said, Maduro appeared relieved. Castro had promised to dispatch a team of Cuban technicians to help solve the problem.
“Raúl Castro was like an adviser for Maduro,” Figuera said. “If he was in any meeting, it would be interrupted if Castro was on the phone.”
In April, Figuera said, he delivered a message to Maduro in a locked suitcase. Only he and Maduro had the code. He described the country’s situation as deplorable and suggested new elections.
Maduro texted him the next day.
“He called me a coward, a defeatist,” Figuera said. “That’s when I knew I had to act.”

Obama & Co Kept List Of Muslims For Admin Jobs, Excluded Christians Purposefully From List
The man admitted in a video that he was Muslim. He continually invited Muslim groups to the White House. He attended a Muslim school in his youth.
Why is everybody surprised or denying his ties to Islam?
According to an email chain from 2008, John Podesta received lists of exclusively Muslims and Asians to be considered for jobs in the Obama administration. The email chain revealed that in this process, Middle Eastern Christians were purposefully excluded, or set aside in a separate list, with an aide writing,
She continues, “I suspect some of the people I list would not survive such a vet — but I do personally know, at least in part, virtually all of the candidates in the 1st two categories (but I know very few of those listed for outside boards/commissions).”
Within the lists themselves, candidates were further broken down, with every candidate labeled by their nationality and sometimes race.
