Eligible veterans can access post commissary, exchange, programs starting in January, Ilham Omar is paid to spy for Qatar, Leather made from cactus, Bison are farmers, sort of, Our troops got over 131 tons of food for Thanksgiving, and very much more for December 5, 2019

Ilham Omar is paid to spy for Qatar
According to i24 News, an international outlet, a Monday report by the English edition of Al Arabiya showed that an October 23 deposition by Alan Bender, a Kuwait-born businessman from Canada, exposed Rep. Omar as the “Crown jewel” among US politicians to be recruited by Qatar.
I’ve repeatedly stated that she has no allegiance to the USA.
Speaking from Toronto by video link, Bender told the Florida District Court that he met with Qatar’s Secretary to the Emir for Security Affairs Mohammad bin Ahmed bin Abdullah al-Masnad and two other senior Qatari officials.
According to his sworn deposition, the three officials told him: “If it wasn’t for our cash, Ilhan Omar would be just another black Somali refugee in America collecting welfare and serving tables on weekends.
Bender testified that the officials asked him to recruit American politicians and journalists as Qatari assets, and that when he objected, was told that several prominent figures were already on the payroll. Omar was described as the “jewel in the crown,” he said.
She calls the claim outlandishly absurd. She’s broken Minnesota campaign laws and is being investigated for immigration fraud.

More women gaining “body positivity”
Notice anything?
The Guardian reported in 2019, “Despite dissenters, hairy armpits are undeniably en vogue. Alongside adverts, social media has reignited a trend for unicorn armpit hair – a look popularised by bloggers who have dyed their pits in rainbow colours.”
Are mustaches coming next?
I don’t know whether to laugh or cry.

9 Things You Actually Can't Recycle
How many of us really know what to toss into the recycling box? The following list surprised me and will make me stop to think from now on.
To-go coffee cups
Plastic bags
Shredded papper
Plastic cutlery, pens, and other small plastics
Ribbons and bows
Batteries
Soiled cardboard
   Oops.
Flexible shipping bags
Takeaway paper bowls

Put VR headsets on cows to get better milk
I don’t know which is funnier. This or hairy armpits.
Subject cattle to simulated summer fields with colors tuned for the animals eyes, giving them a decidedly more pleasing landscape than a plain, confining farm.
As the article asks, “why not just put the cows in fields more often?

Drug lord’s empire has cells in 35 states
The drug lord who succeeded El Chapo has spent a decade infiltrating his drug operation in the US, a new investigation has found.
Officially Reuben ‘Nemesio’ Oseguera Cervantes, and better known as ‘El Mencho’, the ruthless leader of Cartel Jalisco Nueva Generacion has managed to bring his illegal narcotics into 35 states, according to the findings of the probe.
Plus, the cartel has placed at least two dozen ‘cells’, as described by the US Drug and Enforcement Administration, that set up shop to do business and even live in American communities
If the DEA knows about them, what the hell are they doing about it?
The smaller towns simply don’t have the ability to take this giant on. When the dealers are caught, they go to jail.
So what?
They spend time living off the public and then, when their ridiculously short time is up, they’re back on the streets.
In my opinion, they should be put on a plane and sent straight back to Mexico.

President Trump’s latest impeachable offense
Forget the alleged quid pro quo with Ukraine, Trump has a new controversy on his hands which might actually succeed in getting him impeached: referring to the hero dog Conan, who took part in and was injured during the al-Baghdadi raid, with male pronouns.
As if it isn’t easy to tell a dog’s sex. Especially one as big as Conan.
Naturally, the mix-up launched a lot of social media buzz, with people posting photos of Conan and noting the situation on the dog's underside.
It’s disgusting, and sexist, that the White House press corps is calling Conan a dog.
Conan is a bitch. This was confirmed by
1. A Pentagon briefing
2. A photo clearly displaying Conan’s sex
3. Multiple White House officials
As if the media doesn’t have anything more important to report on.
There are, of course, a large number of tweets mocking Trump for getting Conan's gender wrong. They never asked whether Conan identifies as a male and simply hasn't started to transition yet. Shame on them for assuming gender!

Per Bloomberg, Impeachment making Trump’s reelection “More likely”
Of course it does. The longer the Klown Cirkus continues, the more sympathy and support the president will receive.
With this likelihood, why the heck is Bloomberg even running?
I worry a lot that we’re setting ourselves here to impeachment, acquittal and re-election,” Bloomberg’s campaign manager Kevin Sheekey told CNN.
You should be outraged by what this president has done, except it’s not helping in the places where this election will ultimately be decided,” Sheekey added.
The impeachment inquiry is “threatening” the reelection of swing state Democrats, Bloomberg’s campaign chief explained, warning that Trump has a “pretty clear shot” at winning the six states Sheekey said the presidential election is decided by, namely Wisconsin, Michigan, Pennsylvania, North Carolina Florida, and Arizona.
The impeachment proceedings are making the president’s re-election more likely, not less likely,” Sheekey concluded.
My question is; what has the president done to outrage anyone?

Where the hell is AOC getting her donations?
AOC Raised More for Reelection Campaign Last Quarter Than All Other House Dems, Including Pelosi
Contributions under $200 comprised most of the donations to Ocasio-Cortez, at $1.1 million in total contributions. Several Republican challengers are competing to oust the freshman congresswoman in her district, which comprises parts of Queens and the Bronx, but none of those challengers has so far matched her fundraising abilities.
Are there really that many progressives around? She doesn’t have to go the usual route of courting lobbyists. As long as the media continues to give her unlimited access, she’s got all those crazies sending her lots of money.
Can anyone beat her in her home district?

Why Liberals hate Thanksgiving
I’m sure there are a lot more, but these are a start:
1. Liberals hate Thanksgiving because it is racist.
2. Liberals hate Thanksgiving because it is sexist.
3. Liberals hate Thanksgiving because it’s killing the environment.
4. Liberals hate Thanksgiving because it’s anti animal rights.
5. Liberals hate Thanksgiving because it’s a holiday for celebrating genocide.
Yep. I was right. It misses the most important: Giving thanks to GOD!

Our troops will get over 131 tons of food for Thanksgiving
The DoD is also sending these main dishes downrange:
4,925 whole turkeys
44,384 lbs of shrimp
43,648 pounds of ham
This year's total Thanksgiving fixings are significantly higher than that of three years ago, which was more than 63 tons.
In addition to turkey and other meats for this year's holiday feast, the Department of Defense has sent the following fixings to the frontlines:
27,605 lbs of sweet potatoes
39,797 pies
7,032 cakes
5,804 gallons of eggnog
These holiday rations will go to field kitchens, dining facilities and galleys for troops in the Middle East, Europe, Africa, Korea, Japan, Qatar and Honduras.
And we got the president serving the troops aat Bagram Air Base.
I grew up in homes where Thanksgiving meals were big affairs with lots of people. So, I dreaded my first one in the military and was quite pleased when it turned out to be a big deal. It was the same cooks and place as always but somehow different. I know just how much having a meal like that means to troops far from home.

China owning Australia?
Just a few of the Chinese companies that’ve bought up Aussie infrastructure.
What can be more important than a country’s water? I wonder how much US water is owned by foreign entities. (Check out https://www.ecori.org/natural-resources/2011/5/9/who-owns-our-water.html and https://www.aljazeera.com/indepth/opinion/owns-america-water-180607123435697.html )
And there’s a lot more about Confucius schools and Chinese in politics @ https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-7725675/How-China-owns-Australia-buying-infrastructure-land-water.html

One in three primary school children think eggs are laid by cows
Of course they do. Why else would eggs be sold in the dairy section?
One in ten youngsters aged six to 11 say they have never tasted a cherry tomato
Three in ten youngsters did not even know that tuna comes from a fish
Another poll from 2017 found one in three thought cheese came from plants
When I stopped laughing, I had to ask myself what the hell is going on with British schools? We complain about our but I wonder when I read something like this.

How to transfer everything from your old Android phone to your new one
I don’t know squat about cell phones. I haven’t even figured out how to make calls with the one my wife has. So, this article is totally above me.
But, perhaps it can help one or more of you.
It deals with:
Google Drive
Other backups
Mail and Calendar
Photos and music
Passwords and bookmarks
SMS and MMS messages
(That last one has me totally lost.)

Schiff and Pelosi and the Ukraine
This comes from the woman who is running to take Schiff’s seat away/
He has not presented one bill that has been enacted into law.”
But, that isn’t the worse. Check these out:
While Schiff ignores his constituents and chases impeachment, it is becoming more and more clear that he and his fellow Democrats should be the real focus of Ukraine investigations.

President Trump is a modern day King David?
Some avowedly pious men and women have, of late, explained their support of President Trump by citing the example of King David, a sinner whom the Lord used for His purposes, and whose faults—crimes even—were redeemed by the good he did. According to this line of thinking advanced by politicians, activists, and even clerics of different hues, Donald Trump may have wandered far from the straight path, but he is nonetheless doing God’s work.
Get that? The Atlantic is calling our president “an evil man redeemed by the good he is doing.”
I’m not certain what the author hope to gain from this piece that cites Bible sections one after another. I wouldn’t be surprised if he turned out to actually be an atheist.
And then, The Atlantic comes out with this:
How Narcissists Wear Out Their Welcome (And Why Trump Has Not) @ https://www.theatlantic.com/ideas/archive/2019/12/how-narcissists-wear-out-their-welcome/602446/
Why has Trump followed the predictable course for narcissism in one way, alienating many who have served in his administration, and defied expectations in another way, by continuing to attract an adoring core?

Meet the Navy's 'Swiss army knife'
The sailors who keep carriers and other warships running
Working in the bowels of ships, surrounded by unbearable noise and heat, they’re the ones who’re called with things break down – something quite frequent with an aging fleet and some ships with design problems.
Door stuck?
Call a Machinist Mate
Coffee urn won’t make coffee or keep it hot?
Call a Machinist Mate
The lifeblood of the Navy that doesn’t get credit for what they do.
"The machinist's mate is like the Swiss army knife of the Navy," said Pruitt. "Since being in the shipyards, we have repaired all four aircraft elevators, started the five-year catapult inspection, restored fire pumps to support Ready to Flood operations, and refurbished the air conditioner and refrigeration units."

Canada’s Air Force One is grounded
Began rolling on its own, right over the chocks and into a tow tractor.
It’s an Airbus converted for use by the Canadian military. The damage was so extensive that it won’t fly again until Aug 2020 – if at all.
And one military source with knowledge of the aircraft is questioning not only why the aging plane is being replaced — but whether it should ever fly again..

Here are the rules for defeating radicals
"Never apologize unless an actual wrong has been committed. And if an apology is truly warranted, remain very specific as to the issue that is actually being addressed."
Don't bother engaging leftists about the truth.
Don't accept the left's baseless assertions of cause and effect, which are proclaimed as inarguable truth, but are only enabling propaganda.
Never accept the left's definition of good and evil.
Stay on point. Do not allow leftists to complicate the issue or distract from it, instructs one of his final rules. Leftists do this when discussing abortion. They shift the focus from the grim reality to "the supposed liberation and elevation of women, feigned 'compassion,' concerning the 'quality of life' of the child, and the seemingly virtuous and utopian promises of embryonic stem-cell research."
These rules are extremely difficult to follow as Leftists have ways to divert attention from the main point. So, in my experience, I’ve learned never to try to change their minds or viewpoints as it’s nothing but a complete waste of time.

Leather made from cactus
More efficient than cloth from cotton and certainly easier on cattle.
It’s made from Nopal cactus, what we call prickly pear. The only use the plant’s mature leaves that preserves the plants and allows for a new harvest every 6 to 8 months. After cutting the leaves, they are sun-dried for 3 days and processed.
The pair plans to produce at least 200k linear meters of their vegan leather by 2020.
As a personal aside. Prickly pear grows throughout the world so, by sharing their process, this could be produced just about everywhere. And, for those who don’t know, Nopal is an excellent food source and the fruit makes excellent preserves.

Bison are farmers, sort of
Most ruminates move on as the grass is grazed. The North American Bison – also known as Buffalo – seem to return frequently to the same spots.
And, as it turns out, the grass in those areas is significantly healthier, the soil is richer, and the actual grass contains more nitrogen compared with carbon than other grass.
Why?
The combination of aggressive, specific grazing – and Bison dung – a great fertilizer.
In other words, they “farm” those areas to provide themselves with the best food.

Can you name all these military terms?
This survey should tell us whom on the forum is actually a veteran or just a troll trying to make progressive points out of military discussions.
I’m ashamed that I missed 3; Rampart, Kinetic activity, and Defense in depth
To be honest, a lot of this is more historical than military

Eligible veterans can access post commissary, exchange, programs starting in January
Even after the small service charge, shopping at the commissary is a money-saver as long as you don’t need to use a lot of fuel getting there. Because of some ignorant rules, Post Exchange prices aren’t all that better than civilian discount stores or many online sites.
Access to shop post commissaries and exchanges or access post recreation will expand to certain veterans by Jan. 1, officials said.
The Department of Defense is expanding on access authorized by the Purple Heart and Disabled Veterans Equal Access Act of 2018, officials said.
The expanded access will include: Purple Heart recipients, former prisoners of war, veterans with documented service-connected disabilities and individuals approved and designated as the primary family caregivers of eligible veterans under the Department of Veterans Affairs Program of Comprehensive Assistance for Family Caregivers.
Officials said eligible veterans will need a Veteran Health Identification Card, meaning they should be enrolled with VA healthcare services to obtain the card.
It comes at the end, but this is a big deal in savings:
The expansion also will allow eligible veterans to enjoy certain Morale, Welfare and Recreation programs on post, including golf courses, bowling centers, movie theaters, recreational lodging and more.
It’s been a very long time since I played golg but I’m willing to bet that base courses are just as good for a whole lot less.

House Democrats release 300-page Trump impeachment report
300 pages of the most amazingly stupid stuff in the history of this Republic.
This article lets you access the full report and also gives a brief recap of it – that I won’t bother to waste my time cutting and pasting it.

Five Common Misconceptions About the Electoral College
Defenders of the Electoral College argue that it was created to combat majority tyranny and support federalism, and that it continues to serve those purposes. This stance depends on a profound misunderstanding of the history of the institution.
Mistake #1: Congress was to select the president.
Mistake #2: First, they feared that people would lack the information to make an informed choice as to who might be an appropriate candidate for the presidency or who might be the best choice among candidates.
Mistake #3: Similarly, some defenders of the Electoral College have argued that the delegates who favored the Electoral College opposed popular election of the president.
Mistake #4: Many people also believe that the Electoral College was designed to preserve federalism and states’ rights.
Mistake #5: And finally, perhaps the most widely believed and, at the same time, most incorrect of the arguments for the Electoral College is that it has vindicated the hopes and expectations of its creators.
