Trump’s
company exploring sale of landmark Washington hotel
The
president can’t win!
Leftists
moan and groan about all the money he makes from the hotel. Reports
say it took in $41 million in 2018 and goes against the emolument
clause of the constitution. It also notes that, after leasing it from
the government, Trump spend $200 million renovating the post office
into a luxury hotel. All before he decided to run for president.
But,
if he tries to sell it?
“If
the Trump Organization puts out a ‘For Sale’ sign on the Trump
International Hotel and seeks and takes bids, it will create massive
conflicts of interests with the deep-pocketed individuals, foreign
governments, investment funds or corporations that could afford to
make such a purchase,” said Robert Weissman, president of Public
Citizen, a liberal-leaning consumer advocacy group.
And
he’s pulled the Trump name from a lot of other properties just to
try to calm critics. And that doesn’t work. I hope to hell the
Trump company keeps it. Maybe take it to court to get a ruling about
the constitutionality of making money off of it.
It’s
okay for Hillary to get millions from a Ukrainian?
“Between
2009 and 2013, including when Mrs. Clinton was secretary of state,
the Clinton Foundation received at least $8.6 million from the Victor
Pinchuk Foundation, according to that foundation, which is based in
Kiev, Ukraine,” the
Journal
reported. “It was created by Mr. Pinchuk, whose fortune stems from
a pipe-making company. He served two terms as an elected member of
the Ukrainian Parliament and is a proponent of closer ties between
Ukraine and the European Union.”
And
we all know about Joe Biden’s kid, along with Pelosi’s and
Kerry’s.
Oh
yeah, we now know that Biden’[s kid got paid for “legal work”

Yet
the very fact that someone in the Trump administration talked to
Ukrainians about the possibility of building a hotel there – before
Donald J Trump was elected president – is somehow grounds for
impeachment.
Myth:
Trump betrayed the Kurds. Reality: Kurdish leader thanks Trump for
ceasefire.
The
military leader of the Syrian Kurds, Gen. Mazloum Abdi, thanked
President Trump on Wednesday, Oct. 23, for his tireless effort that
stopped the brutal Turkish attack.
The
Lame Street Media certainly won’t report this.
“It
will indeed be permanent. However you would also define the word
‘permanent’ in that part of the world as somewhat questionable,
we all understand that. But I do believe it will be permanent,”
Trump said at a press conference on Wednesday, Oct. 23.
However,
the president added that the sanctions would not be lifted if Turkey
“does something we’re not happy with.”…
Fake
“Rojava” Narrative and Truths about Syria
@
https://www.jihadwatch.org/2019/10/fake-rojava-narrative-and-truths-about-syria
A
little more truth about the situation.
In
the midst of the bloody war in Syria, the Kurds took advantage of the
chaos and claimed control over northern Syria in 2012. They
established a so-called “government” there led by the Kurdish
Democratic Union Party or PYD. Its armed force is the YPG (People’s
Protection Units), which is the Syrian wing of the PKK (Kurdistan
Workers’ Party). The Syrian Democratic Forces in northern Syria,
which much of the media hails as “America’s greatest ally in the
region” is also led by the YPG.
And
Assad is taking advantage of the situation to regain territory that
once was his.
Croatian

He’s
going to turn it into a playground for kids and the 700 members of
his village, Strmec Stubicki, Croatia, a far way from any major
cities
The
flight simulators that he installs, he said, will allow them to
recreate the passenger plane’s flight and landing at Dubrovnik
airport.
The
middle area of the plane will be left more or less empty for dancing
and other activities to be enjoyed by some 50 people, while in the
tail end some seats will be left so the youngsters can take photos
that look like they are actually flying off to somewhere.
Sedlar
will install other attractions as well, like a swimming pool that the
kids can jump into from a wing of the plane, and a small track for
carts that will also go under the aircraft.
With
the help of friends, he dismantled the aircraft and hauled them 205
miles to his home. No word on how much he paid for it.
US

That

community. He’s clearly working to overturn Obama’s rapprochement
with the dictatorship.
American,
Delta and JetBlue airlines will be affected by the deadline to halt
operations to destinations such as Santiago de Cuba, the country's
second-largest city, as well as Camaguey and the sprawling
mega-resort of Varadero.
The

Miami are not affected by the change.
Thousands

Science

for the start of the Antarctic summer field season. The first Twin

islands stations are set to begin.
Teams
of researchers from BAS, UK and US universities will be deployed
across the West Antarctic Ice Sheet (WAIS) for an ambitious series of
deep-field research projects focused on past climate, future
sea-level rise and the birth of the solar system.
The
five: ways to slow the onset of Alzheimer’s
Something
I think we all fear as we get older. Do we just forget a bit or is it
the onset of this disease? These 5 things are worth considering.
Drugs
- Last
week, a US biotechnology company claimed
to have produced the first drug with the ability to slow down the
development of Alzheimer’s.
(But
it’ll take 2 years for the FDA to consider it)
Diet
- A
Mediterranean diet has been suggested
to reduce cognitive decline.
Special
interaction - Alzheimer’s disease may develop more quickly in
people living solitary lives with limited interaction with others.
Regular social engagement can spark new brain connections, which
stimulate activity.
Mental
exercise - People
who engaged with puzzles, board games, learning a language or playing
an instrument showed reduced
severity of symptoms.
Physical
exercise -
I’m
good with the interaction and mental exercise but could use a lot of
work on diet and exercise.

Your Day on the Internet Is Damaging Your Brain
Am
I ever in deep trouble!
I
arise between 1:30 to 2:30 am and, after making coffee, sit down at
the terminal. I basically stay there until 5:30 am when I go back to
bed for a short nap. And I’m at the keyboard from 8am to 8pm.
Is
this frying my brain?
Of
course, our “expert” author has all sorts of things to tell us.
Why
junk food for the brain is toxic. As
Mark Manson so
brilliantly said, cell
phones are the new cigarettes, And a significant amount of what’s
on the internet is nothing more than junk food for the brain.
Why
healthy food for the brain is so powerful. Meditation? Writing in a
journal?
Don’t
use your devices in the morning.
Set
aside 20 minutes to meditate.
Read
books, not the internet. (Why can’t I read books ON the internet or
a Kindle?)
Do
1 hour of deep work.
There!

The
History of CTRL + ALT + DELETE
I
know it’s there but don’t think I’ve ever used it. If it comes
down to it, I always go to the start menu and restart there.
In
2013, Bill Gates admitted ctrl+alt+del was a mistake and blamed IBM.
Here’s the story of how the key combination became famous in the
first place.
And
here’s the culprit:
(David)
Bradley worked on everything from writing input/output programs to
troubleshooting wire-wrap boards. Five months into the project, he
created ctrl+alt+del. The task was just another item to tick off his
to-do list. “It was five minutes, 10 minutes of activity, and then
I moved on to the next of the 100 things that needed to get done,”
he says. Bradley chose the keys by location—with the del key across
the keyboard from the other two, it seemed unlikely that all three
would be accidentally pressed at the same time. Bradley never
intended to make the shortcut available to customers, nor did he
expect it to enter the pop lexicon. It was meant for him and his
fellow coders, for whom every second counted.
Minneapolis:
Somali Gangs Are Claiming Territory & Killing To Defend It
I looked
into the story of their coming to the area and was surprised to learn
they started arriving in the 1980s.
In
early 2016, the Minnesota Demographers Office gave an estimate that
there are between 40,200 and 52,400 Somalis in Minnesota with the
majority of the population being from the Darod
and Hawiye clans. Darod's sub-clans are Majeerteen,
Ogaden,
Dhulbahante,
Marehan,
Leelkase,
Warsangeli,
Awrtable,
Jidwaaq, and
Hawiye's sub-clans are Duduble, Abgaal, Xawaadle, Habar Gidir, etc.
That includes people born in Somalia and of Somalia descent.
Some
experts estimate there are 80,000 Somalis just in Minnesota.
And this
story states:
It’s
obviously no surprise how a person who hates America, is a terrorist
sympathizer, and refers to the 9/11 attacks as “some people did
some things,” is the representative of the Somali Clan Gang area.
It’s alleged that Omar is part of a clan in Puntland in which her
alleged REAL father is a top member of the Al-Shabab affiliate group.
We haven’t confirmed this information because Homeland Security and
ICE citing “ongoing investigations” rapport when asked.
Information
I’ve found indicates that the politically active Somalis are
Democrats.
What the
hell do we do with them. Many were born here and are native US
citizens so we can’t just send them back to Somalia.
And
they’re not just in The Twin Cities.
The
heaviest concentrations of Somalis in the US are found in the Twin
Cities (Minneapolis and Saint Paul), followed by Washington, DC;
Columbus, Ohio; New York City; Buffalo, New York; Kansas City; San
Diego; San Francisco; Seattle metro areas.
Arizona
has seen notable Somali migration in recent years, mostly to Phoenix
(especially the suburb of Glendale) and Tucson. Other states with
significant Somali communities include Ohio, California, Georgia,
Washington, Texas, Massachusetts, Maryland, Virginia, Illinois,
Colorado and Florida.

And then
comes this story:
Refugees
poured into my state. Here’s how it changed me.
The
author is referring to Lewiston, Maine, a city that experienced a big
influx of Somalis.
Lewiston
today has one of the highest per capita Muslim populations in the
United States, most of it Somali along with rising numbers of
refugees and asylum-seekers from other African nations including
Congo, Djibouti, Sudan, and Chad. What’s happening here is
isbeddel, the Somali word for transformation.
Getting
right down to it, this author is trying to paint the transformation
of Lewiston as something good – not just for the town but the
state.

Does
that mean there are a lot of vacant offices in the Five Sided Puzzle

The
article spends a lot of time bemoaning the resignations of civilians
in the Special Operations field. I’m just wondering if they
shouldn’t also be bemoaning the senior officers left to run the
programs without them.

The AT-6
Wolverine, top, and A-29 Super Tucano, bottom
And
both aircraft pack
a wallop. The A-29 comes equipped with two internal .50-cal
machine guns with space for additional underwing armaments like 20mm
gun pods or MK-81 and Mk 82 bombs, according to Embraer; by
comparison, Textron boasts, the Wolverine is "the first
fixed-wing aircraft to employ 2.75" laser-guided rockets
successfully" and uses an adaptable system to carry all manner
of ordnance.
It
doesn’t say in this article, but I think both aircraft are already
operational in other air forces.

Goes to Chicago and Says What He’s Not Supposed to Say

This is a Rush Limbaugh piece for you butthurt Dims and Leftists who
cannot tolerate the truth.
The
president attends a to a gigantic conference of law enforcement
officials, police chiefs, sheriffs and so forth from all over the
country. They’ve been doing this for 126 years. The meeting is in
Chicago.
Now,
here are the no nos he speaking about. The very things the media and
Leftists hate.
What
are you not supposed to mention? You’re not supposed to go to
Chicago, and you’re not supposed to talk about all the murders, 530
murders last year. You’re not supposed to do it. You’re not
supposed to mention it. You’re not supposed to talk about the inept
Chicago Police Department. You’re not supposed to talk about
Chicago as a sanctuary city where they treat criminals in Chicago
better than they treat law-abiding citizens.
And he’s
getting a standing ovation for it.
“You
know what? We can fix this problem in a day. We can fix this problem
in a day, and it wouldn’t be that hard. You know how we do it? We
let the cops do their jobs.” And the place erupted. It erupted.
Eddie
Johnson, the police chief, is squirming.
Rahm
Emanuel’s squirming.

anybody says about him. Or his city.

How
Lasers Work, According to the World's Top Expert
Whether
you’re losing your mind at a Pink Floyd tribute show or playing
with your cat, there’s hardly a situation that wouldn’t be made
better with a few lasers. “Optical masers” were first described
by physicist Charles Townes in the late ’50s and since then they’ve
come to define modern life. They’re used to scan groceries at the
checkout, read DVDs, guide missiles, perform surgery, and even to
produce nuclear fusion.
We see
them everywhere and take them for granted. The video in this article
sort of explains how they work.

Your
Speech Is Packed With Misunderstood, Unconscious Messages
I won’t
name him, but we all know of a major figure who couldn’t speak one
sentence without an um or an uh. Oh yeah, and lots of Is.
Saying
“um” is the speaker’s way of signaling that processing is
ongoing, the verbal equivalent of a computer’s spinning circle.
People sometimes have more disfluencies while speaking in public,
ironically, because they are trying hard not to misspeak.
