18 Real Attacks on the ‘Rule of Law’
The media attacks President Trump for attacking the rule of law. Over and over again as linked to in the article. But, here’s some worth considering:
The suffocating sanctimoniousness of the “Trump-is-threatening-the-rule-of-law” crowd is exceeded only by their hypocrisy. Don’t believe me? Here is a list of 18 actual violations of the law and Constitution done in service of removing Trump from office. I’ll bet you can’t find a single objection from any of these “rule-of-law” hand wringers to these flagrant and unpunished transgressions of the law.
Unmasking:
Clinton and DNC money laundering during the 2016 campaign
Payoffs or offers to pay-off women who accused Trump
The Ohrs’ and their pay-for-smear Fusion GPS money:
The Sally Yates insurrection:
Andrew McCabe makes repeated false statements to FBI investigators:
The Michael Flynn set-up:
Leak of the wiretap of Flynn’s conversation with the Russian ambassador:
Leak of President Trump’s conversation with the Russian foreign minister in which the president revealed classified information:
Rod Rosenstein’s self-appointment oversight of investigation into his own actions:
Leak of President Trump’s conversation with Australian Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull and Mexican President Enrique Peña Nieto:
Mueller snatches private emails without a warrant:.
Rosenstein threatens to investigate congressional staffers if they didn’t back off investigating his actions:
Prosecution of Concord for engaging in political speech:
The raid on Michael Cohen’s law office.
The Department of Justice defies its constitutional masters:
Trampling Trump’s attorney-client privilege:

No matter how hard the media and the Dims try, it all rolls off the president’s shoulders.

US Navy Can’t get Men and Equipment to a Fight
USS Kearsarge (LHD 3)
One of the biggest problems in keeping our military fit to fight is the desire to pay lots of money for fancy new war toys. The powers-to-be often forget that the most important part of winning a fight is to have up-to-date and viable support. It has long been known that it takes 4 people in support to give front-line warriors what it needs to win.
Among the concerns is a rapidly aging Ready Reserve Force of 46 transport ships, which have an average age of 44 years. The Navy’s plans for extending the service life of the ships, such as procuring used vessels and devising a new construction strategy, have all failed to deliver, Wittman said.
The steel is rotting,” retired Rear Adm. Mark Buzby, administrator of the Marine Administration, testified during the hearing.
And here’s another major problem.
We don’t have enough pilots of fly our aircraft!
Major gaps in staffing levels in the Air Force Reserve and Air National Guard have existed since 2013, according to a study released in June by the U.S. Government Accountability Office.
Special operations, bomber and fighter pilots were short by around 20 percent. Units focused on mobility and surveillance missions also experienced gaps, but to a lesser extent, according to the study.

Press 2 for Spanish,’ Similar Programs Cost Billions, but Trump Could End It
Oh Lord but I hope he does. There’s nothing more irritating than the automatic phone answering systems and, if I wanted to speak to someone in Spanish, I would seek a Hispanic business.
A report from The Washington Times has revealed that billions and billions of dollars have been spent providing language support to non-English speakers. Most of those, ironically enough, speak Spanish — and Trump could redirect that funding with a few signatures from the Oval Office.
The government must stop placing this onerous and costly translation and interpretation burden on Americans, and President Trump has the ability to do so on a speedy basis via a new executive order,” declared Stephen Guschov, who runs the advocacy group ProEnglish.

(President) Trump wants Germany, Japan and others to pay full cost plus a premium for US troops
That should cause a lot of moans and groans. Not just from those he asking to foot the bill but all those political hacks in Congress who think we should be paying for all of it.
Called “Cost Plus 50,” the plan would cost five or six times more for countries like Germany, Japan and South Korea, Bloomberg news reported Friday.
Trump has been championing the idea for months, Bloomberg reported, citing about a dozen unnamed administration officials. Trump even tested the idea during recent negotiations over a cost sharing agreement with South Korea, which was on the brink of collapse before a deal was finally reached in February.
We want cost plus 50,” Trump demanded at one point during the talks, as quoted by the media organization.

Florida’s Space Coast Rejuvenated
The area took a massive hit in 2011 with the end of the space shuttle program. But, things are turning around.
Lots of high-paying jobs in these companies. Even more important are all the support jobs in the surrounding area. Shops, restaurants, and maintenance/repair facilities need people to cover the increases.
The University of Central Florida provides more engineering students to the aerospace industry than any other university in the country,” said Ketchum.
As the industry continues undergoing drastic changes, experts say Florida is in a better position now than ever to become a world leader in the space race.
There are things that NASA does very well, but there are things that they do as a federal government that the private sector can do faster, cheaper and better," Ketchum said. "Florida is in a pretty good position to be driving this train, at least for this country, if not for the world.”

Pelosi Takes Back House Office From Pence
The nasty old biddy seems to be out of it. She’s losing control of the House and appears to be trying to show she’s still boss. This just shows how small-minded she is.
House Speaker Nancy Pelosi has taken back an office on the House side of the U.S. Capitol that was previously given to Vice President Mike Pence.
According to NPR, the office on the first floor of the Capitol was given to Pence by former House Speaker Paul Ryan. After Ryan retired at the start of this year and Democrats took control of the chamber, Pelosi opted to reassign the office space.
Pence also has an office on the Senate side of the Capitol, where he serves as president of the Senate, so he rarely used the office Ryan gave to him.
NPR reported Pence's nameplate has been removed from above the door.
"Room assignments are reviewed and changed at the beginning of every Congress," a House Democratic aide told NPR.

More Superbloom
Hot pink Bigelow's Monkey Flower, purple Sand Verbena, delicate white and yellow Evening Primrose and desert lilies -- which opened up in December, signaling a super bloom was possible -- can be spotted, as can orange poppies, which blanket the sides of Southern California highways.

New Book Claims Trump Told Kelly to 'Get Rid Of' Ivanka, Kushner
Newsmax is certainly filled with interesting stuff this morning.
Of course one has to read the entire article to get down to the nitty-gritty.
President Donald Trump told his former chief of staff John Kelly shortly after the general started his new position in the White House to “get rid of” his daughter Ivanka Trump and her husband Jared Kushner and send them back to New York, according to the recently published book “Kushner Inc.,” The New York Times has reported.
And, here it comes:
Those familiar with the issue told the The New York Times that both Ivanka Trump and Kushner managed to outlast those intentions and that the president’s determination for them to leave the White House has “come and gone in waves.”
Snip
Both a representative for Kushner and White House officials have dismissed the claims in the book.

#Trashtag: The online challenge cleaning places up
I’ve seen hundreds of pictures and videos from around the world, including many from here in the USA, before and after of people taking part in this challenge. It would be nice if it happened in some of the worst places.
t's not often that a viral hashtag on social media goes, well, beyond social media.
But an online challenge encouraging users to clean up places has seen tens of thousands of people doing just that.
Perhaps you could share your own.

The Prowler in no More
42 years of service. Almost as long as the B-52.
The EA-6B Prowler is a tactical jamming aircraft for the Navy and Marine Corps that began its service in 1971, according to Northrop Grumman’s website. The aircraft was first deployed to Southeast Asia in 1972.
During its 42 years of service, the Marine Corps’ Prowlers have collectively flown more than 260,000 hours, according to the service. It has deployed more than 70 times in support of major combat operations including Desert Shield, Decisive Endeavor, Iraqi Freedom — and, most recently with Inherent Resolve and Freedom’s Sentinel.

US to Shutter International Immigration Offices
Not all, just 21 of the 200 worldwide.
USCIS Director L. Francis Cissna wrote an email to staff Tuesday that referenced the plan to shutter the 21 locations.
Closing the offices would help "maximize our agency's finite resources," he wrote, the Post reported.
"I believe by doing so, we will better leverage our funds to address backlogs in the United States while also leveraging existing Department of State resources at post. Change can be difficult and can cause consternation. I want to assure you we will work to make this as smooth a transition as possible for each of our USCIS staff while also ensuring that those utilizing our services may continue to do so and our agency operations continue undisrupted."
USCIS started in 2003 and, according to its website, operates more than 200 offices worldwide. It employs 19,000 government employees and contractors to handle several facets of the immigration system, from reissuing lost green cards to helping foreign nationals apply for U.S. citizenship.
The 21 offices being closed fall under the USCIS's International Operations Division (IO) and are more specifically known as the Refugee, Asylum, and International Operations Directorate. The IO employs 240 people in the U.S. and abroad.

White House Backs English As Official US Language
Thank the Lord above! About time. We welcome people to become part of THIS nation, not brings theirs here.
For the first time since Donald Trump became president, the White House gave its official blessings to making English the official language of the United States.
[T]hat’s the position of the White House,” Press Secretary Sarah Sanders told Newsmax on Monday afternoon.
Sanders stopped short of saying the President would issue a new executive order overturning President Clinton’s 19-year-old Executive Order 13166 which requires multiple languages, interpretations. and translations of all federally-funded agencies and contractors.
I’m not aware of a specific executive order that’s been drafted,” she told us.

Wireless Headphones “Risky”?
This really caught my attention as I was just given a Riff Wireless so I could listen to stuff on the car radio while my wife listens to hers.
I sighed in relief when getting to this final paragraph:
However, University of Pennsylvania bioengineering professor Kenneth Foster told health and lifestyle writer Markham Heid that studies showing a connection between mobile devices and cancer “have no credibility,” and that public health organizations that have studied research and information on Bluetooth and other wireless technology have not found “any clear evidence for health hazards at exposure levels below international limits.”

US Religious Envoy Calls China's Muslim Camps 'Horrific,' Wants Probe
I’ve seen dozens of reports of this for the past few months. So, why is this guy making a big deal of it now? And nobody believes China is going to bow to outside pressure on this. Here’s just one of their comments:
China says Xinjiang has long been its territory and claims it is bringing prosperity and development to the vast, resource-rich region. Many among Xinjiang's native ethnic groups say they are being denied economic options in favor of migrants from elsewhere in China and that their Muslim faith and unique culture and language are being gradually eradicated.
In other words, they recognize the danger Islam represents to their government and are taking steps to defend against it.

And then comes this:
China Official Says West Using Christianity to 'Subvert' Power
Seems the Chinese leaders are an all-in-one group when it comes to anyone or anything they feel presents a problem for their rule.
Western forces are trying to use Christianity to influence China's society and even "subvert" the government, a senior official said, warning that Chinese Christians needed to follow a Chinese model of the religion.
China's constitution guarantees religious freedom, but since President Xi Jinping took office six years ago, the government has tightened restrictions on religions seen as a challenge to the authority of the ruling Communist Party.
The government has cracked down on underground churches, both Protestant and Catholic, even as it seeks to improve relations with the Vatican.

China offers help to Venezuela to restore power
Will Maduro accept? He’s already got support from Cuba and Russia has just established an airbase for its long-range bombers.
Speaking in Beijing, Chinese Foreign Ministry Spokesman Lu Kang said China had noted reports that the power grid had gone down due to a hacking attack.
China is deeply concerned about this,” Lu said.
China hopes that the Venezuelan side can discover the reason for this issue as soon as possible and resume normal power supply and social order. China is willing to provide help and technical support to restore Venezuela’s power grid.”
He gave no details.
It cannot possibly be that the power is out simply due to broken infrastructure and other problems created by a socialist dictatorship! They have no choice but to blame outside forces.
