The Truth About Immigrant Discharges From the Army
First of all, none of them had completed basic training and were on active duty.
They all have been unable to clear their background checks, the major stumbling block in the process.
The MAVNI program was started under Obama and a Pentagon spokeswoman told CBS News MAVNI was suspended in 2016 because it "was vulnerable to an unacceptable level of risk from insider threats such as espionage, terrorism, and other criminal activity."
Kaliuzhna's records indicate she was flagged because of discrepancies in her answers during her security review. Her screener believed her "ability to protect classified information has been compromised."
That’s why they’re being discharged.

Media Skews Reports – Again
“Woman beats a 91-year-old Mexican man with a brick, tells him to ‘go back to your country,'” declared the headline of one Post article from Tuesday, July 10.
Want to guess who the woman was?
“An eyewitness later told The Washington Post that Rodriguez had accidentally bumped into a young girl while walking on the sidewalk,” continued the newspaper. “The child’s mother — a black woman — then pushed the elderly man to the ground and repeatedly bashed him in the face with a concrete brick while yelling, ‘Go back to your country,’ the eyewitness said.”
It didn’t stop there. Other people, identified by the Post as “a group of young men,” joined in the assault and allegedly tried to stomp on the elderly Mexican man’s head, even after he fell to the ground. Conveniently, the race of this gang of attackers was left unreported by the newspaper.

But that wasn’t the only one. Remember this one?

Notice how they play up the white man part?
In the second incident, which didn’t involve a physical assault and was many degrees less serious, the Post apparently decided that the race of the person who made a phone call is not just relevant, but one of the most important pieces of the headline.
No wonder confidence in the media is at such a low point.


Office of Special Counsel Investigates Socks of Secretary Zinke
All because the Campaign for Accountability filed a complaint.
As it turns out, according to CNN, Zinke’s socks ran afoul of a legal opinion issued by the Office of Special Counsel that determined that administration employees wearing “Make America Great Again” regalia on duty were violating the Hatch Act, a federal law meant to curb electioneering activities by government employees on government time.
I can’t figure out which is worse. Making a big deal about a paid of socks. Or another unaccountable government agency

My question is, just who the hell are they accountable to? In reading the law, U.S. Code › Title 5 › Part II › Chapter 12 › Subchapter II › § 1214, it reports to the Merit Sysems Protection Board, The Office of Personnel Management and, ultimately the President. What a damned waste of your tax money!

Federal law generally prohibits states from skimming money from Medicaid payments bound for independent in-home personal care workers. But in 2014, the Obama administration created an exception, saying that states could divert some of that Medicaid money to unions, on the theory that these workers effectively were public-sector employees.
Eleven left-leaning states have used that provision to raise more than $200 million a year for unions by taking it from health workers who often didn’t even realize it, according to top GOP officials.
Those states include California, Massachusetts, New Jersey, and Illinois — a blue state which has been at the center of recent Supreme Court rulings stripping power from organized labor.
President Trump WINS again.
He just cut off a big source of funding for left leaning unions which leaves far less money for big labor to donate to Democrats and other leftist causes.

Trump Just Gave Public Sector Unions The Boot; Three Weeks to Vacate
I love this president more every day.
The Social Security Administration gave the American Federation of Government Employees Union until Jul 31 to vacate all agency office space and return all government-owned computers, phones and other equipment and supplies.
Lets hope this applies to all other government agencies as well.
We know it’s a good decision to the degree that the Washington Post writers and editors are upset about it.
The more hysterical Democrats get the bigger the win!

Remember the Bundy Occupation of federal land? Another Obozo attempt to strengthen federal authority at the cost of individual ranchers.
Dwight Hammond and his son Steve Hammond were convicted six years ago and sent to prison on arson charges – they set a series of fires on their private land that eventually spread to federal lands.
The Hammond’s case became the inspiration for the armed occupation of the Malheur National Wildlife Refuge in 2016. The organizers of the standoff were protesting federal land ownership.
They served the time but at least the president has vindicated them.

But, according to the left-wing media, the White House is in “chaos” and makes all sorts of claims about General Kelley leaving in disgust.
Male bovine excrement! I just watched a live shot of President Trump leaving NATO headquarters with Kelley at his side, both conversing in a friendly and even companionable manner.
The president also promised during his campaign to "drain the swamp." Although many people think he's referring to Congress, the president has also been doing some housecleaning of his own.
The Daily Wire reported that if you are a government employee -- no matter what level, if the president finds out you stink at your job, he will find out and fire you.
It's one piece of news the American taxpayer should be very happy about.

Some of the coverage descended into silliness and absurdity, including two moments when Berman carefully dissected Chief of Staff John Kelly’s hydration habits.

The silliness of a “Living Constitution”
I love the examples this blogger gives of what a “living contract” is.
How would you react if the IRS decided it had a “living tax code” and you found your refund non-existent because deductions and credits you took when you filled it out were redefined?
And he ends with this:
The US Constitution is a contract, it is a contract between the states voted on by the states.  It says what it says.  If you don’t like what it says, there are explicit ways to edit it which can be pursued, and if you don’t like the edits you make there are ways to remove those edits (see 18th and 21st amendments).  A “living constitution” is a tyranny of the judiciary which is why the left likes it so much, but they should be wary, because if there is one thing the Trump era has taught the right it’s that the tactics of the left are very effective when used against them.
Or to quote Stephen Green:  “Never agitate for a government power you wouldn’t trust your political opponents to wield — because someday they will.”
