Texas Lawmakers Propose State Funding to Build Border Wall
Fed up with Congress failing to provide border security, Lone Star politicos plan to build their own.
Breitbart News has learned that State Reps. Kyle Biedermann and Briscoe Cain intend to introduce legislation soon that would fund $2.5 billion of wall construction along the Texas border with Mexico, appropriating it from the economic stabilization fund for the state fiscal year ending August 31, 2019. The funds would be used, Biedermann tells Breitbart News, “to design, test, construct, and install physical barriers, roads, and technology along the international land border between the State of Texas and Mexico to prevent illegal crossings in all areas.”

This Is How Trump Will Build The Wall Without Democrat Help
I’ve seen so many similar articles to this that there has to be a good deal of truth in the claim. Schumer claims he can’t do it without Congressional approval, but that appears to be more hot air on the Minority Leader’s part.
The emerging consensus among acting chief of staff Mick Mulvaney and top budget officials is to shift money from two Army Corps of Engineers’ flood control projects in Northern California, as well as from disaster relief funds intended for California and Puerto Rico. The plan will also tap unspent Department of Defense funds for military construction, like family housing or infrastructure for military bases, according to three sources familiar with the negotiations.
“There are certain sums of money that are available to the president, to any president,” Mulvaney said on “Meet the Press” Sunday. “So you comb through the law at the president’s request … And there’s pots of money where presidents, all presidents, have access to without a national emergency.”
And this article ignores the fact that more parts of the wall are being built every day.

In a MUST WATCH video, Turning Point USA Communications Director Candace Owens can be seen ranting after touring an ICE detention facility for illegal alien children and women in Broward County, Florida. She is shocked when she sees an indoor basketball court, Zumba classes, 24-hour medical care, a barber shop, beauty shop and sand volleyball pits. Candace claims that the rooms where the illegal aliens are being housed are nicer than her dorm room where she attended college. Owens says she has never wanted a video to go viral more than this one, claiming that Democrats should be “disgusted with yourselves” after seeing how much better illegal aliens are treated than the poor children in inner cities in America. ***Language warning***

Get Rid of the TSA?
_As with most government stuff, it’s overpriced and inefficient. Employees have no incentive to do their best because they know they can’t be fired if they don’t.
This study discusses why that takeover was a mistake. TSA’s efficiency and performance have left much to be desired. It is an inflexible, bureaucratic monopoly. The recent TSA disruptions resulting from Washington budget battles illustrates another problem with federal operation.
A better option would be for airports themselves to handle screening in partnership with expert private security companies, but under general federal oversight, as discussed here. 
We all know politicians never, ever vote to undo a mess they’ve made. So, don’t get up your hopes Congress will do this.

$77 million for opioid equipment
1,200 new Customs and Border Patrol Agents (retain current levels)
The bill expands Catch and Release by reducing the number of border beds from 49,060 to 40,520.
No funding for additional enforcement and removal field personnel. – that means no more ICE agents to deport people already in the country.
Expands the Alternatives to Detention program from 82,000 to 100,000… so instead of housing family units at the border- they get moved into the interior where they almost always stay in the country permanently.
Provides $40 million for additional ICE staffing dedicated to overall ATD (Alternatives to Detention) case management, particularly for asylum seekers… so no new ICE agents, but money to ICE to help illegal aliens settle in a non-detention center in the country.
The bill gives over $1 billion for the Smithsonian.
$3.4 billion in refugee assistance – $74 million more than last year.
$4.4 billion in international disaster assistance – $100 million more than last year.
Does not eliminate any foundations that Trump wanted to get rid of including: The Asia Foundation, the U.S. African Development Foundation, the Inter-American Foundation, and the U.S. Trade and Development Agency.
Israel, Ukraine, and Jordan receive $5.3 billion for border security fencing.
She’s smirking because she thinks she’s pulled one over on the president.

Media and Dims Lie About the President’s Golf Simulator
Surprised? You shouldn’t be.
First, according to an anonymous official who spoke with Fahrenthold and Dawsey, the golf simulator "replaced an older, less sophisticated simulator that had been installed under President Barack Obama." Second, the president allegedly "paid for the new system and the installation personally."
Get that? He replaced one Obama had installed at government expense with one he paid for out of his own pocket.
But don’t expect the media to tell you that!

The Federal Government Collected More Taxes In 2018 Than Ever Before
Gee, I wonder who was responsible for that?
The federal government collected a record $1,665,484,000,000 in taxes last year, making it the best year of income for the government on record.
The numbers are mind-boggling.

Private Prisons Gouge Prisoners
According to Reuters, that is. And, of course it’s Trump’s fault.
Only problem is – they receive everything for free!
Reuters story on conditions in private prisons did not even wait until the headline to begin its bias.
Above the headline is a kicker headline that reads: “Trump effect,” even though President Trump has nothing do with the allegations in the story, all complaints about policies and protocols in place, and even strengthened, under the Obama administration.
But then, the story, entitled, “$11 toothpaste: Immigrants pay big for basics at private ICE lock-ups,” by Michelle Conlin and Kristina Cooke, has had its accuracy challenged on a variety of grounds.
There’s only one problem with this!
Detainees receive three meals a day, approved by registered dieticians and Immigration and Customs Enforcement officials, the statement said. GEO Group said it gave Reuters a list of the specific meals and portions it provides to prisoners, but reporters chose to omit any reference to this to further the narrative.
The story then goes on to quote former detainee Wilhen Hill Barrientos, saying you “either work for a few cents an hour or live without basic things like soap, shampoo, deodorant and food.”

US military aircraft to deliver 200 tons of aid to Venezuela border
Tens of thousands are on the verge of starvation. Hospitals have no medicines or medical supplies. People are fleeing the country when and where they can.
And Venezuelan soldiers stand guard on the borders to keep humanitarian aid from entering.
The Trump administration is sending more than 200 tons of humanitarian aid to the Venezuelan border in Colombia as early as Saturday as it increases pressure on embattled President Nicolas Maduro to give up power, according to a State Department email sent to Congress.
The announcement of additional aid comes as the Trump administration added Venezuela's oil boss Maj. Gen. Manuel Quevedo and four other intelligence officers to a list of Maduro loyalists under U.S. financial sanctions.
Will the aid reach the people? Probably not.

India/Pakistan Feud Heating Up
It’s not just territorial. It’s over political power based upon Hindu versus Muslim.
India itself was a creation of European colonialism. When that ended, the countries of Pakistan and Bangladesh were created in areas populated by Muslims. One part of India remained with a Muslim population, the state of Kashmir.
Pakistan claims it should belong to them.
India claims otherwise.
Following the terror attack, where an explosive-laden truck plowed into a bus carrying police forces, India said it had "incontrovertible evidence" of Pakistan's involvement in the attack. Pakistani-based Islamist militant group Jaish-e-Mohammad claimed the attack, but Pakistan quickly denied any official involvement.
Indian Prime Minister Modi has given his military a “free hand” to determine "the timing, place and nature of their response."
That could lead to all-out war.
They are both considered American allies – although Pakistan being an ally is, to me, a joke.
