Trump
Taking More Questions Than Any President Ever
Every
day in every event where he appears in public. Doing interviews,
planned and spontaneous. Stopping to answer shouted questions from
reporters.
Another
campaign promise kept.
As
much as President Donald Trump has ridiculed media as "the enemy
of the people," rebuking "fake news," here is some
real news from
Newsweek showing he is a friend of the media: President
Trump "is taking more questions than any president in history."
Newsweek's
claim attributes the media blitz to the lack of daily press
briefings by press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders and cites
ABC
News' report
President Trump "has taken nearly 300 questions from
reporters in the past 11-day span alone."
"He
has no fear of talking to the media," an anonymous senior
administration official told ABC News. "He relishes it and he
has instructed his staff he wants to do it more."
The
interviews are about stumping for the White House and Republican
control of Congress in the November midterms and the president wants
to do even more, according to the report.
20
Key Races that Will Determine Which Party Controls the House of
Representatives
Proving
all elections are local.
The
generic ballot advantage of Democrats in Congressional races in the
midterm elections holds steady at around
7.6 percent, which is slightly above the five percent generic
ballot advantage most political experts believe Democrats have needed
to win a majority in the House since the gerrymandering of
congressional district boundaries by Republican controlled state
legislatures after the 2010 census.
As
Breitbart News reported
previously, only 95 of the 435 House races are considered
competitive. Of the 340 House seats that are not competitive, 150 are
safely Republican, while 190 are safely Democrat. Breitbart News
estimates that 66 of the 95 competitive races are now likely
Republican, while nine are now likely Democrat.
The
20 key remaining competitive races are now classified by Breitbart
News as election day toss-ups. Nineteen of those seats are currently
held by a Republican. Only one is currently held by a Democrat.
Breitbart
News has a smaller list of toss-up races than the Cook Political
Report, which currently
lists 31 toss up races, 30 held by Republicans, and only one held by
a Democrat.
As
things stand 18 days before the election, 209 seats are likely
Democrat, while 206 are likely Republican. In order to maintain a
majority in the House of Representatives, Republicans must win 12 of
these 20 key races that are the remaining toss-ups.
New
York and Minnesota each have three toss-up House races, while
California, Florida, Ohio, and Pennsylvania, each have two toss-up

The
Heller/Rosen Debate
Our
local CBS affiliate turned the 6pm time slot into an hour debate
between the two contenders for the Nevada senate seat.
I’ll
say right up front that nothing Rosen could’ve possibly said
would’ve gotten me to vote for her. She’s an out-and-out Dingy
Harry Dim and
has had her nose up Pelosi’s rear end since elected to the House.
I
also watched the post-debate show with a panel of locals. Seems they
felt Heller was too aggressive.
My
response from the outset was shuddering at the continual contention
by the Dim of her “bipartisan efforts.” Is she kidding? There’s
nothing in the Dim playbook about being bipartisan. It’s their way
or no way at all.
Do
I think the debate changed any minds?
Not
in the least. It all depends on turnout. Can the Dingy Harry machine
get more Dms to the polls than the GOP? It’s going to be
interesting to see. Early voting started today, October 20, and the
results won’t take long to show which side has the biggest turnout.
My
personal feelings?
Heller
will win by 5 or more points. So will two or more GOP candidates.
Just might turn Nevada from purple to red.
Clueless
Dim Invites Castro Supporter to a Campaign Rally in Miami
Makes
one wonder where these DimocRATs got their brains.
There’s
a simple rule in running for Congress in Miami: don’t campaign with
someone who praised Fidel Castro and fought sanctions against
Venezuela’s dictatorial regime.
But
Donna Shalala didn’t figure it out until it was too late.
In
a district filled with Castro-hating Cuban-Americans and Venezuelan
exiles, Shalala’s campaign committed an egregious gaffe — and set
off a round of Democratic finger-pointing — by posting an
announcement that she would hold a campaign event Wednesday with
House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi and her fellow Californian, Rep.
Barbara Lee.

Illegal
Caravans Encouraged by Honduras and Soros
I’ve
been asking for days where the money is coming from to create,
encourage, and support this invasion of our country. Now, many will
say this whole article is nothing but furtherance of a conspiracy
theory. But, there are too many facts and valid links to make this
anything but a true and valid assertion.
It
is time he United States take action against Soros and the Honduran
government. I urge you to share this with everyone you know and your
elected representative.
Just
in time for the midterms, another "spontaneous" migration
from Central America began with a bevy of allegedly oppressed and
downtrodden Hondurans leading the way. Pressured by a threat from
President Trump to cut aid to Honduras, Guatemala, and El Salvador if
the caravan is not stopped, some
moves by these governments have been made.
Yet evidence exists that these migrations are not spontaneous, with
both of the governments in question encouraging them as a political
and economic safety valve and a source of foreign currency, financed
in part by foreign leftists with connections to George Soros.
As
Fox News's Laura Ingraham noticed
in a tweet,
this is not a walk in a national park, but an expensive and arduous
journey:
Who
is funding the migrant "caravan"? Each migrant's passage
can cost as much as $7K each. Per capita income Honduras is $2.3 K.
It
is doubtful that such sums came from the kiddies' college funds.
Evidence of Soros funding of an earlier "spontaneous"
migration have been found among
the tentacles of support that flow from his Open Society group
coffers:
Leftist
billionaire George Soros is funding the well-organized anti-Trump
migrant caravan invasion from Central America that has been hitting
the United States-Mexico border in defiance of immigration
enforcement.
Several
major ultra-liberal foundations and corporations have supported the
asylum-seeking migrant caravans, and Soros' funding has been tied to
several groups that have spearheaded the "refugee" invasion
coalition – also dubbed "the Soros Express."
"The
caravan is organized by a group called Pueblo Sin Fronteras, [b]ut
the effort is supported by the coalition CARA Family Detention Pro
Bono Project, which includes Catholic Legal Immigration Network
(CLIN), the American Immigration Council (AIC), the Refugee and
Immigration Center for Education and Legal Services (RICELS) and the
American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA) – thus the acronym
CARA," WND
reported.
"At least three of the four groups are funded by George Soros'
Open Society Foundation."
The
hands of the Honduran government are not clean in these efforts.
Among the alleged asylum-seekers parked on the U.S. border is a
contingent of Hondurans, allegedly fleeing persecution, poverty,
crime, and oppression. If that is the case, why is the Honduran
government helping them, driving them northward under orders given to
the Honduran ambassador, who is helping
and escorting them?
Leaders
of a caravan of Central American migrants traveling toward the United
States through Mexico have repeatedly accused the Honduran government
of corruption and with failing to address the poverty, crime and
economic conditions forcing families to flee by the thousands.
So
it shocked some observers when the Honduran ambassador joined the
migrants protesting outside the Honduran embassy in Mexico City on
Wednesday, and then accepted their invitation to walk 9 miles to a
migrant shelter.
"I
have been ordered by my government to support the Honduran migrants
traveling with the caravan. There are about 200 Hondurans who we
will help out with paperwork and whatever is necessary," Alden
Rivera Montes, the Honduran ambassador to Mexico, told El Universal.
Ordered
by my government? Why is the country whose oppression they are
allegedly fleeing helping them leave? The answer is remittances, the
money sent back home by so-called "migrants." Asylum is in
large part a colossal scam designed to provide Latin American
countries with a political and economic safety valve and a cash cow
of foreign exchange. In 2017, remittances sent back to Honduras
totaled $4.33 billion and make up a
significant part of the Honduran economy:
Within
the span of a few short decades, migrants have become an essential
engine of economic support for Honduras. Remittances comprised 17
percent of the nation's gross domestic product (GDP) in 2011,
according to World Bank estimates, the second largest share of any
country in Latin America or the Caribbean. As such, Honduran
emigrants have tremendous significance for the country's economy and
for the sustenance of many otherwise impoverished communities and
families.
Talk
about a trade imbalance. We import alleged asylum-seekers and other
illegal aliens, and they send home billions sucked out of a
benevolent U.S. government and economy. We have an economy that has
some 7.3 million jobs going unfilled because of a shortage of skilled
workers. Judging from photos of the latest caravan, one would
suggest a paucity of welders, pipefitters, electricians, and
long-haul truck-drivers.
Inner-city
blacks have long asked which country they get to go to to escape
violence and poverty. Although President Trump is succeeding in
fighting crime and increasing job opportunities in our urban areas,
much remains to be done. We do not need to be importing low-wage and
low-skilled competitors to American citizens to drive down poor
workers' wages. Inner-city residents have long asked, where's
our sanctuary?
Unlike
the children of Central America, arriving en masse, the children of
Chicago, facing conditions every bit as horrible, have no border to
cross to seek asylum or refuge[.] ...
"Do
something for our children," said one of the protesters in a
video posted at the blog Rebel Pundit. "Have the same love for
these young people like you got for the ones across the border, and
you want to save them." ...
A
woman, identified only as Elaine, explained the plight of inner-city
Baltimore residents on Laura Ingraham's radio show: "My children
cannot play outside. I cannot take my trash out without locking the
door – it's awful. Who is going to give us anything? Where can I
get asylum? Where can I get refugee status?"
Where,
indeed? Perhaps this side of a border wall Democrats oppose in favor
of sanctuary cities and Medicare for illegal aliens. If any of the
alleged asylum-seekers want to learn a trade – how about a crash
course in border wall construction? Build it, and they won't come.

Mexico
to migrants: you will be deported if you don’t have documentation
As
many as 4,000 migrants are believed to be heading for Mexico's
southern border
Seems
Mexico is beefing up its police forces on the southern border. Is
this for real or just an effort to deflect anger from the north?
Seems
that didn’t work too well. The mob just broke through the line.
The
federal government has warned a caravan of Central American migrants
traveling to the United States via Mexico that if they enter the
country illegally they will be detained and deported.
In
a joint statement, the secretariats of Foreign Affairs (SRE) and the
Interior (Segob) said that in accordance with the law, anyone who
enters Mexico “irregularly” will be “rescued” and subjected
to review.
If
they do not have the required documentation they will be returned to
their own country.

Who
was Jamal Khashoggi?
I
heard a most enlightening segment from Limbaugh about this guy and
who he was. I still do not understand why the media has made such a
huge deal about it – unless it’s just another attempt to direct
attention away from the president for the midterms.
He
wasn’t an American citizen and his fame strictly came from lengthy
interviews with Osama Bin Laden in Afghanistan. He wrote opinion
pieces.
Here
are some facts about who he was:
Khashoggi
was a Saudi national and lawful permanent resident of the U.S
He
had some famous relatives and big connections in the Saudi elite:
He
had long experience in media [not all of it that successful]
He
interviewed and traveled with Osama bin Laden in Afghanistan
He
was a member of the Muslim Brotherhood and supports Hamas: [terrorist
supporter]
He
was an implacable critic of Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman (MBS)
[the guy who’s trying to drag Saudi Arabia and Islam out of the
Dark Ages]
He
was politically active:
The
last is probably why he ran afoul of Saudi figures.
So,
here’s my question: why the hell is American media making such a
big deal about it? Why are they pressing President Trump to make a
big deal about it? What does the American government have to do with
something that took place in Turkey and involved the Saudis?
Figure
it out for yourselves.

The
South Tyrol question, explained
A
lot of you are going to ask; “Where is that? What’s the big
deal?”
Well,
this is not an earth-shaking situation. It is, in fact, yet another
holdover from the time when the victors of World War One remade maps
of Europe and the Middle East that have brought about many of the
conflicts we see today. By a world-wide scale, this is truly minor
and we never hear about it because most of the conflict is words and
not
bombs.
[There have been bombs at times but very rarely.]
South
Tyrol, known to Italians as Alto Adige, has been a bone of contention
between Austria and Italy for decades. Here's what you need to know
about the latest dispute.
As
voters elect the province's parliament this weekend, with dual
citizenship a hot-button issue during the election campaign, here are
some facts about a region where many still feel a deep affinity to
Austria.
Seems
it all stems from the new “rightist” Austrian government aim to
retain its national identity.

and hopefully, one of our regular posters can put a local viewpoint
on this.
AMLO’s
security plan will deploy federal forces to 265 regions
Incoming
president is adopting a model he implemented as mayor of Mexico City
While
our Media is focused on illegals crossing our borders, few understand
what’s going on in our southern neighbor and what its future has in
store. The main even is the pending presidency of López
Obrador, the
ex-mayor of Mexico City. The guy who’s going to sell the
presidential airplane, refuses a personal security detail, and drives
his own car to work.
López
Obrador said that in parts of the country with low crime rates, such
as Yucatán, there would be 300 security force members for each
“coordination” whereas in regions where there are high levels of
homicides, kidnappings and other crime, the number would be 600.
Mexico
has 31 states organized in a federation just like the USA. In fact,
much of its constitution is based upon ours.
It
appears AMLO is going to ignore that and send federal security forces
He
explained that 70% of the new government’s strategy to bring peace
to the country will be “preventative,” meaning that it will
involve combating the root causes of violence through stimulating
economic growth, creating jobs, providing greater education
opportunities and generating well-being.
And
here’s what he facing:
López
Obrador will inherit record-high levels of violent crime when he is
sworn in as president on December 1.
There
were more than 30,000 homicides last year, according to the National
Statistics Institute, and this year is on track to be even more
violent.
Cartel
turf wars, pipeline petroleum theft, enforced disappearance and
femicides are among the security problems the new president will be
faced with.

Here’s
my own take on this. This guy is setting himself up to be
assassinated real quick. He’s gonna make a whole lot of enemies
real quick. And then, just what aid will he receive from other
nations? Can he accept help from the hated Gringos? Or, will he
accept help from countries such as China which are making an effort
to increase their presence in Central and South America?
This
is something we should be paying very close attention to.

But,
back to the story.
Winemakers
in the Valle de Guadalupe region of Baja California are betting on an
innovative solution to their water shortage problem.
An
Israeli company, Odis Asversa, will build an aqueduct between Tijuana
and the well-known wine region to carry recycled wastewater to the
area’s vineyards.
Although
the company won a state government tendering process to complete the
project — the first of its kind in Mexico — the winemakers will
foot the US $1.5-billion bill.
An
Israeli company? In Mexico?
Why
not? They practically survive on such stuff in Israel. They’re also
leaders in turning sea water to fresh.

“While

Professor Paul Rogers, an ecologist at Utah State University, told
