What the Hell is Going on at Fox News?

First, the nitwits who run things over there let go their number one ratings getter, Bill O’Reilly.

Then, they let their number two rate getter, Sean Hannity, stay under constant attack by the left and do nothing to assist or defend him.

Now, it’s Eric Bolling.

They suspend him due to an unfounded and anonymous hit piece that shows up in the most leftist news rag in the universe.

Fox News has suspended Eric Bolling following the report last night about allegations he send(t) lewd photos to female colleagues.

Mediaite received the following statement from Fox News:

Eric Bolling has been suspended pending the results of an investigation, which is currently underway.

The Fox News host is facing allegations laid out in a Huffington Post report from last night that he sent “an unsolicited photo of male genitalia” to female colleagues. The reporting cites “14 sources in and out of Fox News and Fox Business” and contains the following details:

The women did not solicit the messages, which they told colleagues were deeply upsetting and offensive. One of the recipients said that when she replied to Bolling via text, telling him never to send her such photos again, he did not respond. Four people, outside of the recipients, confirmed to HuffPost they’d seen the photo, and eight others said the recipients had spoken to them about it.

Fox News said in a statement yesterday they plan to investigate the matter, and the investigation is being conducted by the law firm Paul, Weiss.

Bolling’s Saturday morning program Cashin’ In was taped in advance, but did not air this morning and was replaced by a half-hour of America’s News HQ instead.

Guest hosts will fill in for Bolling on Fox News Specialists and on Cashin’ In during his suspension.

Now let me see if I’ve got this right.

These so-called porn pics could not b traced directly back to Bolling.

Not a single one of them exists to back up the claim.

Not one of the recipients has stepped forward to publicly speak up.

This comes from the Huffington Post, a partisan organization determined to collect conservative scalps. It also has a sensationalistic reputation and provides relatively little in the way of strong journalism. Can it be believed? - Hell no!

Though HuffPo cites “a dozen sources” (then “14” further down), not one is on the record. Given the large payouts offered to others with similar complaints inside Fox, this seems hard to believe. With new management, it’s difficult to imagine any repercussions from stepping forward. It’s actually more likely to make someone termination-proof (the publication claims a confidentiality agreement stands in their way). So who are these people?

The texts were allegedly sent “several years ago”, but the story fails to provide a date.

There’s no indication the texts were preserved for use as evidence.

Though the women who received the texts believe the phone number was his, it doesn’t seem 100% clear: “The women, who are Bolling’s current and former Fox colleagues, concluded the message was from him because they recognized his number from previous work-related and informal interactions.”

Why didn’t those affected come forward last year, when Fox was rocked by sexual harassment scandals? There was no reason to hold back.

Sadly, this is the best his hack lawyer can come up with: “Mr. Bolling recalls no such inappropriate communications, does not believe he sent any such communications, and will vigorously pursue his legal remedies for any false and defamatory accusations that are made.”

He “recalls no” such messages? It should be EASY to remember whether a person has sent X-rated texts to co-workers. Memories should be clear.

I know there will be much more on this but I can just about guarantee not one of the females hinted at will step forward to directly accuse Bolling. Not one single picture will show up.

And the wimps who run things at FoxNews will let Bolling hang in the wind without doing one thing to support him.

I’ve watched FoxNews since the day they came on the air and still spend a goodly number of watching it. However, if they keep up this crap, I will find something else to watch. I get all the news feeds I need from Feedly and will only miss some of the true Hotties with lots of legs they routinely put on air.

We will see what happens.
