I take a deep breath and sit back.
What did I miss?
Did I get everything right?
Is it ready to publish?
I refer to FOLLOW THE RAVEN, the science fiction/fantasy novel I'm about ready to publish on Kindle and Nook.
As it's been more than a year since I finished it, reading/reviewing/editing/revising was sorta entertaining. I found myself enjoying following the young hero's question and all the stuff he had to confront. Would I be that brave if my life was completely turned around and I had to watch my parents die at the hands of an evil woman seeking me?
It's a tale I enjoy telling.
A confession - I don't consider myself an author or a writer. I'm a story teller. Plain and simple. Stories come to mind and I want to share them with others.
Well, it didn't take me all that long to prepare/edit/revise/reformat the story to get it ready. As of today, March 13th, it's up on both Kindle and Nook at the following for $1.99

So now, you might ask what brought me to writing this particular story?
As anyone who works in the public arena - cops, fire fighters, EMTs, bus drivers and, yes, cab drivers - each city has an underside visitors and even locals never see. While driving a cab, I had lots of time to think while waiting for fares - which takes up the vast majority of cabbie's time - and came up with all sorts of weird scenarios about what might happen if ...
Then, when I couldn't drive anymore and spent my time writing, a lot of those items went into various folders that were later incorporated into Blood ...
Also, while dreaming up how such a terrorist attack might occur, it scared the bejeesuz out of me to discover it might not be all that far-fetched. The places and items I describe in Blood are real and it makes one wonder a bit nervously to think of the possibilities.
I pray every day that my imagination doesn't become fact. And, I do hope all the readers will enjoy and think about this novel.

I did it!
I actually put one of my novels, Blood in the Meadows, up for sale on Amazon Kindle and Barnes and Nobel's PubIt! [Still shaking from being nervous] It wasn't anywhere as hard as I thought it'd be. Now, I just hope people find it interesting and read it.
Put a link to this so, if a reader likes it, dislikes it or just has questions, I can answer them.
And, for all coming here to visit, here's a link that will help you - http://www.lasvegasadvisor.com/taxitips.cfm
It's a piece I wrote several years ago for a website designed for visitors to Las Vegas.
Now, it's off to work on another novel to upload, this one a science fiction/fantasy tale.

So, what this is all about.
I've read books for as long as I can remember. I grew up in a house full of them. Old National Geographic magazines in black and white. Encyclopedias. Book of the Month Club. And so on.
I've dabbled at writing since I went into the army 54 years ago [that long?] but only recently got into it full-time. I've a bunch of short stories here and there but here's one I think you might like -Robbie's Long Journey Home @ http://www.associatedcontent.com/article/1930150/robbies_long_journey_home_a_short_story.html?cat=44
Then, on the paying side, I have published on lulu.com.
Lost Wages in Las Vegas I - this is a black and white version that is available in Print On Demand or for download at http://www.lulu.com/product/paperback/lost-wages-in-las-vegas-i/1055503
The next is the same book but with full color available only for download at http://www.lulu.com/product/ebook/lost-wages-in-las-vegas/1005383
If you do buy it - and I really think you'll enjoy it - you are more than welcome to comment on it here or give a review on the lulu.com website.
But, I'm not done yet!
Sometime in the not-too-distant future, I will be publishing several novels on Amazon Kindle and Barnes & Nobel PubIt! As I do, I'll link to them here and give you a nutshell description.
Look forward to hearing from you all.
Til next time.

Here at last.
A Las Vegas Cabbie asking
I'm an ex-cab driver, ex-bus driver, ex-tour guide, an ex-US Army sergeant trying his hand at full-time writing.
As this is my introduction to this media, I'll make this first post short and try to figure out what the heck I'm going to do to make this interesting and entertaining.
