Miss India - Are they clones? Huber, Sessions’ investigator sat on his hands, German city wants to legalize “dumpster diving” and much more for June 3, 2019

DNC rules to shut out minor candidates from debates
They’re up to their old tricks. Make it easy for the “established” ones and put up all sorts of hurdles for the newbies.
Dims are oh so easy to figure out.
The Democratic National Committee has imposed new debate requirements for candidates that could make it harder for minority candidates to compete. The rules essentially help the Democratic party’s “older, more established” gatekeepers.
Campaigns like Kirsten Gillibrand have not qualified for the debate and pushing back against the DNS,” a Democratic campaign senior operative, who wished to remain anonymous, told Accuracy in Media on Thursday.
The party is hoping that after the debate a couple of candidates will drop, easing the process for top contenders.
It goes on to explain how they’ve already decided who will make the debates.

NM Gov. Pulled Nat’l Guard from Border
Karma’s a bitch!
Now She’s Begging for Help To Deal with Illegals
But think of all the Dimocrap voters she’s let into her state!
Democrat New Mexico Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham initially denied there was even a hint of a national security crisis at the border, though it appears she may have changed her tune. Now, she’s asking the federal government for help in dealing with illegal immigrants.
t’s a remarkable shift, especially given that in February, Lujan Grisham dismissed Trump’s repeated claims of a national security crisis at the border. She even went so far as to order National Guard troops from both her state and others to withdraw from the border region, suggesting their presence was an unnecessary “charade” and only the result of the president’s “fear-mongering” about the border.

7. Pepso A.M.
8. Ore Ida Funky Fries

12. Stallone High-Protein Pudding
What could possibly caused any of these to flop?

RNC Launches Grassroots Initiative to Build Party
It looks like they are getting serious about the 2020 elections. Now lets see if they can reach the sofa-sitters and get them to actively help retake the House and increase the lead in the Senate. They can have a big start if they just get the people who attend the president’s ralleys to work at their home districts.
The previously-under-wraps initiative, called Project GROW, includes advising parties on outreach strategy and fundraising, in addition to giving them free access to voter data, the news outlet reported.
State party committees were set to meet in Washington, D.C., on Wednesday and Thursday to start training.
"The strength of the Republican Party comes from our grassroots, and with 100% participation from our states and territories in Project GROW, and their presence here at the training this week, we again are demonstrating our robust organization, strong infrastructure, and commitment to electing GOP candidates up and down the ballot and re-electing President Donald Trump in 2020," RNC Chair Ronna McDaniel said in a statement to Fox News.

Austria turns its back on politicians in its new government
An interesting turn of affairs. After the politicians show corruption, the president turns to a senior judge to become interim chancellor.
(President) Van der Bellen’s pick is what had been widely expected – a veteran civil servant not involved in day-to-day politics – though many judges are close to a party, and Kurz’s right-wing coalition government proposed Bierlein as the court’s chief.
He said he and Bierlein, whom he plans to formally appoint along with her cabinet within days, had agreed to pick mainly civil servants as ministers. Bierlein said she had chosen Alexander Schallenberg, a diplomat who worked as a senior official in Kurz’s office, as foreign minister.
In the coming months we will, no doubt, not see any big, lasting legislative initiatives. It is much more about a good and orderly administration of state affairs,” Van der Bellen said.

Miss India - Are they clones?
And
Yet another
So what? Why the fuss?
India is a very big country with differing types from north to south. Having fair skin is not exactly normal and a loft of Bollywood types are pushing skin lightening products. Here’s an example of how diverse they are;
And here’s another picture to show India’s true diversity:

U.S. Government Wastes Billions on “Fragmented, Overlapping or Duplicative” Programs
This shouldn’t surprise anyone. Heck, nobody knows exactly how many government agencies there are let alone what they’re spending money on.
GAO’s 2019 annual report identifies 98 new actions that Congress or executive branch agencies can take to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of government in 28 new areas and 11 existing areas. For example:
The Department of Energy could potentially avoid spending billions of dollars by developing a program-wide strategy to improve decision-making on cleaning up radioactive and hazardous waste to address the greatest human health and environmental risks.
The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services could also potentially save hundreds of millions of dollars by improving how it identifies and targets risk in overseeing Medicaid expenditures to identify and resolve errors.
Congress could enhance federal revenue by at least tens of millions of dollars annually through expanding the definition of allowable expenses authorized to be covered by the Foreign Military Sales administrative account, thereby likely reducing the need to cover these expenses with other appropriated funds.
The Department of Defense could expand its use of intergovernmental agreements to obtain military installation support services—such as waste management and snow removal—and potentially save millions of dollars annually.
The Department of Defense could also potentially save millions of dollars in its administration of military treatment facilities—such as hospitals and dental clinics—by analyzing medical functions for duplication, validating headquarters-level personnel requirements, and identifying the least costly mix of personnel.
The Department of Homeland Security should develop a strategy and implementation plan to help guide, support, integrate, and coordinate its multiple chemical defense programs and activities to better manage these fragmented efforts.
The federal agencies that coordinate research on quantum computing and synthetic biology could better manage fragmentation by agreeing on roles and responsibilities and identifying outcomes to help agencies improve their research efforts to maintain U.S. competitiveness in these areas.
The report @ https://www.gao.gov/reports/GAO-19-285SP/ goes on to identify 33 new actions related to 11 existing areas presented in its 2011 to 2018 annual reports.

Huber, Sessions’ investigator, sat on his hands
JAN CRAWFORD: Um, what’s the status of Huber’s investigation in Utah? I think the former Attorney General Sessions had asked him to look at this.
WILLIAM BARR: Right, so Huber had originally been asked to take a look at the FISA applications and the electronic surveillance but then he stood back and put that on hold while the Office of Inspector General was conducting its review, which would’ve been normal for the department. And he was essentially on standby in case Mr. Horowitz referred a matter to him to be handled criminally. So he has not been active on this front in recent months and so Durham is taking over that role. The other issues he’s been working on relate to Hillary Clinton. Those are winding down and hopefully we’ll be in a position to bring those to fruition.
And we all had our hopes up that Sessions was really moving forward to uncover what was going on. Instead, he did nothing while his appointee did the same.

Fires raging across Canada
And the American media is ignoring it.

Wild cows - a major Polish problem
185 of them have been running wild for 3 years and the regional veterinary office wants them sent to slaughter as they might spread disease to other cattle.
Poland's most powerful politician, Jaroslaw Kaczynski, said this week the herd in the rural community of Deszczno should be saved for humanitarian reasons. Famed Cat-lover Kaczynski said he wants Poles to know that many politicians are friends to animals.
President Andrzej Duda also tweeted to say the herd should be saved.
In response, Agriculture Minister Jan Krzysztof Ardanowski said the animals will be examined and put under the care of a state-owned farm.
The deputy governor in Deszczno, Aleksander Szperka, said Friday he is waiting for the herd — which remains on fenced-off land — to be taken away.
Seems a lot of animal lovers made it clear they wanted the animals saved.
They’re dairy cattle, for goodness sake. Think of all the milk, cream, and cheese that been going to waste all that time.

New Indian government signals Hindu and Indians-first goals
The top Hindu nationalist leader referred to Muslim migrants from Bangladesh as “termites” and pledged a citizens registry.
Shah, who served in the same role in Gujarat when Modi was the western state's chief minister, a role akin to governor, will be in a key position to redraw India's political map according to the BJP's Hindu-first agenda, said political commentator Arati Jerath, who frequently writes opinion pieces for Indian newspapers.
"Whether it is Kashmir, or terrorism, or pushing through the citizens registry against the resistance in India's northeast, Shah is very tough and he won't hesitate to defy conventions or norms to achieve his goal," she said.

Rolling Thunder from someone who was in it
We see the pictures on TV. But, he don’t hear the noise or see the interaction between hundreds of thousands of vets and American patriots.
This story comes from someone who took part and it just might cause you to get a tight gut in places.
Most of all I will remember the spectators, who lined the ride with flags and flattering signs, and cheered us on the whole way. I've been on many rides before, but never one in which the community made us so welcome. They were proud of us.
After the ride, with my bike in Potomac Park and the shade of the trees to rest in, I met a group of riders one of whom was having his shoe tied by the other. The one guy couldn't bend his back anymore due to injuries, so his brothers knelt down on the grass and tied it for him. He didn't get left behind. No one gets left behind. That's what the ride was about, with the POW/MIA issue as its main focus. It wasn't just words. They were living it out.

5 worst proposed (and operational) US weapons
The article hints that the Army has problematic systems too. Namely the Comanche helicopter or Crusader self-propelled artillery. Systems rushed into service before the technology has reached maximum usability.
It should be noted that all 5 of these are currently on active duty with personnel doing their best to deal with the shortcomings.
1. F-35 Lightning II Joint Strike Fighter
Acting Secretary of Defense Patrick Shanahan has colorfully described the F-35 program as "f---ed up."
2. Zumwalt-class destroyer
They lack working guns which rounds cost $1 million each
3. Littoral Combat Ship
The Littoral Combat Ship (LCS), sometimes referred to as the "Little Crappy Ship," has suffered from uncontrolled cost overruns, delivery delays, and various mechanical problems.
4. Ford-class aircraft carrier
The electromagnetic catapults don’t work correctly.
5. Electromagnetic naval railgun
It suffers from rate of fire limitations, significant energy demands, and other troubling technological problems that make this weapon a poor replacement for existing guns or missile systems.

German city wants to legalize “dumpster diving”
Lots of countries throw millions of tons of edible food away every day. It’s past the “best before” date and many places make it illegal for people to take perfectly good food from waste receptacles outside of stores and eating establishments.
The time is overdue for better handling of food,” he tweeted. “It should not be the case that millions of tonnes are thrown away without consequences and, at the same time, people are being prosecuted. Decriminalize!”
Steffen reportedly also wants to either clarify whether retailers should be banned from putting food in the bin. In France, which wastes only 1.8% of its food production, supermarkets are prohibited from throwing away edible food and must instead donate it to charities or food banks. A similar law applies in the Czech Republic.

Soros, Wallace Help Bankroll Dark Money Fund Aimed at Midwestern Voters
Why the hell aren’t the Dims investigating this?
Answer is simple. Because they’re funding Dim candidates.
Liberal billionaires George Soros and Scott Wallace are helping bankroll a new fund hosted by an intricate dark money organization and focused on helping Democrats make inroads with midwestern voters for the 2020 elections.
The deep-pocketed donors moved the money from the Open Society Foundations, Soros’s foundation, and the Wallace Global Fund, Wallace’s foundation, to the newly launched Heartland Fund, a collaborative effort focused on building “power across the divides of the American heartland” as overall Democratic efforts have veered towards the region.
The Heartland Fund recently disbursed $500,000 in its first round of grants to nine left-wing groups and will begin its efforts with organizing and issue advocacy. The initiative is housed at the Windward Fund, which falls under the auspices of Arabella Advisors, a major dark money “fiscal sponsor” network founded by Eric Kessler, a former Bill Clinton appointee.
For a growing number of donors, the 2016 election was a wake-up call, clearly indicating that we need to re-engage with these communities and their concerns to achieve philanthropic priorities related to health care, immigration, education, economic development, climate and environmental justice, civil and voting rights, and more,” Arabella’s website states. “Even among these donors, however, discussions about how best to engage often fall prey to assumptions and narratives that pit rural communities against urban ones, communities of color against the white working class, and progressive organizing and movement building against efforts to bridge a broader portion of the political and ideological spectrum.”

Barr meets Huber, Skoolies, Hemp sales soaring, and a lot more for March 10, 2019

There’s No Border Emergency
It’s a 5 minute video that shows the truth of what is going on around our southern border. There are hundreds of miles wide open without even a measly barbed wire fence.
Douglas Coleman, Phoenix division drug enforcement special agent said, “We every day stare at the biggest, most violent and nastiest organization, the Sinaloa cartel.”
While on the frontline of the border security battle, sheriffs like Lamb make one thing clear: This border is a humanitarian crisis intertwined with the cartel exploiting people on a daily basis. The amount of arrests him and his team make are proof that a border crisis exists.
These are human beings that are being trafficked. They’re being exploded by the cartel, and that’s the message we are trying to send to the American public,” said Lamb.

What Happens to All Those Beads After Mardi Gras?
'
One picture after another left by revelers who don't seem to give a darn about the mess they’re leaving.
Biodegradable beads may not be available yet, and recycling efforts are still small, but several hundred Mardi Gras celebrations since the late 17th century have taught New Orleans a thing or two about cleaning up. As the festivities wind down, a small army of some 600 workers descends on the French Quarter, leaving the area so free of debris that it’s difficult to tell the city had a million houseguests a day before.
A 2014 analysis of how much income Mardi Gras brings to the city concluded that it generates more than 2 percent of New Orleans’s $21 billion gross domestic product. Cleanup-related expenses tallied in the study included more than $230,000 for workers, about $825,000 for equipment, plus other expenses, which brought the sanitation grand total to almost $1.5 million.

Skoolies
Who on earth has heard of these before?
We’ve all heard of motor homes and travel trailers. I’ve even seen converted school buses before. But, never anything like this.
Skoolie life is built on the idea that happiness and desk jobs are like oil and water. A fast-growing branch of the van life community, many of them millennial parents, is trading its homes and jobs to live in school buses in rebuff of the so-called American dream. Skoolies believe in a life free of picket fences, 401Ks, and 30-year mortgages—all the securities their baby boomer parents coveted. “We knew early on we wanted a different life than our parents,” says Amanda Smith, who lives on the Giant White Bussalo with her family of five. “Our parents just worked nonstop every day. We didn’t want to do the ‘you get married, buy a house, have babies, and pay off your debt the rest of your life.’”
I just wonder where they get the money to live on.

Another Trump Judge Was Just Confirmed And The Left Is FREAKING OUT
Senate Confirms 37-Year-Old To Lifetime Seat On U.S. Circuit Court
The Senate voted Tuesday to confirm Allison Jones Rushing, 37, to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 4th Circuit, making her the youngest federal judge in the country.
The vote was 53 to 44 with every Dimocrap who could manage to vote was against her.
The president must be grinning a mile wide.

Despite California’s long drought, trillions of gallons of rainwater wastefully flowing into sea
Golly, gee! This is considered news? It happens every time it rains because of poor planning, lousy management, and politicians who don’t have the faintest idea of what they’re doing.
LOS ANGELES -- California’s rainy season could be the wettest in 40 years, but experts say the state is missing a major opportunity by failing to collect the trillions of gallons of storm runoff that currently flows wastefully into the ocean.
In February alone, an estimated 18 trillion gallons of water fell on the state. In urban areas and coastal cities, 80 percent ends up diverted into the ocean, as Los Angeles and other cities built long concrete channels for flood control. The Los Angeles River, for example, is a 51-mile-long canal as wide as a football field. Almost none of the water seeps into the underground aquifer.
And then, the undergrowth with spring up in huge amounts, only to dry out as the year passes. So, come Fall we will see wildfires. Lots of them.

Special Prosecutor John Huber Meets with Attorney General Bill Barr
This is really a big deal. Remember that Huber has been tasked with looking into to FISA warrant abuses.
Seems he’s done nothing since Sessions left and failed to file the report he was required to make to Congress.
The GOP Congressmen gave Huber a deadline of January 21st to respond to the following demands:
The total number of witnesses you have interviewed, including names of specific individuals where possible, and the number of witnesses remaining to be interviewed;
The total number of FISA applications reviewed;
The total number of documents reviewed, including their substance and format (e.g. emails, meeting notes, phone logs, etc); and
A description and account of your coordination with DOJ IG Michael Horowitz”
Huber has done nothing since Jeff Sessions appointed him in the Fall of 2017 to investigate FISA abuses.

Not Like Any Steel Pot I Remember
I’ve seen the current ones our troops are wearing and realize how far they are away from what I wore.
So, this new thing looks like something right out of Star Wars or a lot of other scifi movies.
The Army's new Integrated Head Protection System (IHPS), designed to replace the Enhanced Combat Helmet (ECH) used by close-combat units for the last two decades with with "100 percent greater blunt impact protection," Lt. Col. Ginger Whitehead told Military.com.The IHPS was originally scheduled for a battlefield debut in 2020.
n addition, 3rd BCT soldiers are picking up the Modular Scalable Vest version II and Ballistic Pelvic Protection, as well as new eyewear with transition lenses, Col. Stephen Thomas told Army Times. The MSV is part of the Soldier Protection System and is the Army's next-generation Personal Protective Equipment system.
And bullets and shrapnel still find ways to do harm to the vulnerable human body.

From chess sets to model jets, foreign leaders lavish gifts on Trump White House
They include a portrait of a smiling Trump, sporting a red necktie, painted on mother-of-pearl panels from Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas; a $935 fountain pen from Germany's Angela Merkel; and a map of the United States by 18th century French geographer Louis Brion de la Tour from French President Emmanuel Macron.

The most expensive gift bestowed on the Trump family came from Xi, a dinnerware set that includes an image of Trump's Mar-a-Lago resort, worth $16,250. The two leaders met at the Florida property in 2017, and are expected to do so again in coming weeks to discuss a possible trade deal.
The headline makes it sound shady and as if he’s the only president to be given lavish gifts.
Every president has received them.
Every.
And they all go to the National Archives or other government agencies.
Trump doesn’t get to keep any of them.

New heights but no high - why hemp sales are soaring
This goes along with several other articles I shared over the past month or so. It appears that industry has finally found a way to open the door to the use of an extremely useful product.
Unfortunately for hemp, being a near-relative and lookalike of marijuana has meant that it has always been tarnished by association.
So while hemp is a very useful crop that can be turned into everything from clothes to shoes, paper, animal feed and building insulation, the cultivation of it was banned in many countries during the 20th Century.
Many years ago, I found it growing wild in gulleys around corn fields in Iowa. I bet there’s a whole lot of that still around.

Senate Republicans May Go 'Nuclear' to Fill Massive Judicial Vacancies -
Current Rules Would Take 32 Years!
The Senate is expected to confirm the 34th Circuit Court judge of Trump's presidency next week and they have three other nominees ready. If they are approved, President Trump will have filled roughly 20 percent of the Circuit Court seats in the country.
"The committee is working to put judges out on the floor and as soon as they come to the floor the leader's making it a priority to move them," said Sen. John Thune (R-SD), McConnell's top deputy. "It'll be a high priority for the foreseeable future. I mean, it's one of the things we can do that we don't need the House's help with."
Democrats are attempting to fight the issue, even stating some liberal judges will not retire as long as Trump is president. Republicans argue Democrats are obstructing the process by delaying President Trump's nominees. For example, Naomi Rao -- who's on track to fill Brett Kavanaugh's seat on a key appeals court -- is facing opposition over past writings about date rape and her views on abortion.
It will be interesting to see if McConnell has the juevos to go ahead with this plan.

When Will America’s Crumbling Roads, Bridges, Dams and More Be Fixed?
We send billions of dollars to broken down foreign governments that hate our guts and we can’t find the money to fix things to save American lives?
What kind of politicians have we elected?
Let’s see some high mucky-muck driving in his or her post limousine end up in the hospital for hitting a massive pot hole or going off a broken bridge. I wonder what their attitude would be then,
There’s been wide bipartisan support for updating and fixing America’s infrastructure, despite a lack of a more comprehensive solution. President Donald Trump has even proposed a $1.5 trillion project to update and fix the national infrastructure and create jobs.
He’s also encouraged lawmakers to send him a clean bill with a solution.
I think we have a real opportunity to address the vital question which is improving our infrastructure, creating jobs and strengthening the economy,” said Sam Graves (R-Mo.), ranking member of the Transportation and Infrastructure committee. “I think there is widespread agreement within the House, within the Senate and [within the] White House that we do need to act. We saw the president urge Congress to send him bipartisan infrastructure legislation that he can sign into law. And more importantly, most of our constituents want this as well.”
Things can get done if they will only remove the regulations that keep from doing them.

Trump to 'Financially Strangle the Cuban Regime'
A way to avert military intervention in Venezuela?
Sounds like a good idea to me.
The administration is looking into adding to the list of companies that can be sued for controlling property nationalized by the government under Title III of the LIBERTAD Act.
We have made very clear to them that the intent of our enacting Title III, and of looking to do so in the future, is to essentially create a completely inhospitable foreign investment environment for Cuba, to pressure it economically for its actions in Venezuela,” the official added.
We know for a fact that there is nothing the Cuban regime fears more than Title III,” the official continued. “They recognize it would be disastrous for them and they've gone on a diplomatic offensive to try to prevent it.”
The companies exposed are the seaports and a lot of the hotel operations are from expropriated properties,” Sen. Marco Rubio, R-Fla., told the Examiner. “And that’s the lifeblood. That and remittances is how they generate all their hard currency in Cuba.”
Seems to be a good plan. Let’s so just how quickly congressional Dimocraps jump in to try to stop it.

Pentagon may tap military pay, pensions for border wall
This is an absolute lie without an ounce of fact. Military pay and entitlements are in laws that do not allow for “unused” funds that could be moved elsewhere.
WASHINGTON (AP) — The Pentagon is planning to tap $1 billion in leftover funds from military pay and pension accounts to help President Donald Trump pay for his long-sought border wall, a top Senate Democrat said Thursday.
Sen. Dick Durbin, D-Ill., told The Associated Press, “It’s coming out of military pay and pensions. $1 billion. That’s the plan.”
Durbin said the funds are available because Army recruitment is down and a voluntary early military retirement program is being underutilized.
Durbin is full of bull excement.

Functional Medicine more Effective than Conventional Medicine
"Functional medicine is a new way of thinking about disease that gets to the root cause," he explained, "It doesn't focus so much on the symptoms as the question of why you have those symptoms."
Dr. Hyman said like many patients, once Cindy was treated by a functional medicine doctor, she quickly got much better.
"In a very short period of time, she not only lost a lot of weight but was able to end her seizures, to recover her energy, end her brain fog and to be engaged in her life again, which is not only something we see routinely in functional medicine, but often something traditional physicians are surprised at, because these are patients that they've tried for decades to try to help and mitigate symptoms. Well, we don't go for symptoms, we go for causes."
Seems to make a whole lot of sense.

Care to Rent a USAF Aircraft?
Got a birthday party or a special anniversary you want to make like no other?
Simple. Locate you nearest AF Base and ask them to have a B-2 or F-16 fly over. One not enough? Send a squadron.
The Defense Department calculates the hourly reimbursement cost for each branch's aircraft — rates used to charge nongovernmental organizations or civilians for events, such as flyovers at sporting events.
The Air Force plane with the highest rate is the E-4B airborne command center, which costs $73,123 an hour.
Heavy bombers, such as the B-1B and B-2A, are also really expensive, likely based on fuel and crew costs.
In October, the Defense Department comptroller released the latest reimbursement rates for each service branch's planes and helicopters.

US Gets Its Tush Whooped in War Games Against China and Russia
It takes more than a couple of years to make up for 8 years plus of abuse and neglect.
"In every case I know of, the F-35 rules the sky when it's in the sky," Robert Work, a former deputy secretary of defense and an experienced war-gamer, said Thursday. "But it gets killed on the ground in large numbers."
Our overseas bases lack the protection needed against all-out onslaughts.
Our communication systems would be crippled.

Feral Hogs Running Wild in Houston Suburbs
Dimocruds in disguise?
The hog epidemic is a problem particularly in Texas; the state’s estimated feral hog populations are in excess of 1.5 million, according to the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department.
Some guy specializing in catching the beasts said he’s already caught 306 this year.
Catching hogs. Catching them. To do what, release them later? Pretty soon they’ll be hiring super-duper SWAT cops to run around Houston suburbs with bolt action sniper rifles to kill them because no one can be trusted with a gun except cops. Lethal removal. But still not enough.
In order to keep up with the rapid propagating hog population in the South, everyone with a gun would have to be shooting hogs day and night. But they don’t want to do that, so instead, feral hogs will chase and gore little children, threaten adults, destroy crops, make back yards nasty with feces and cause massive health problems, and cause more erosion than can be imagined in a horror movie.
The Dim gun control nuts should hate that. Using guns to kill beasts that are doing immense damage to our country?

CNN Due to be Hit with Lawsuit for $250 million by Covington Student
Not only is this kid going to be set for life, a whole bunch of ambulance chasers are going to be drinking lots of bubbly.
Lawyers for Covington Catholic High School have already sued The Washington Post for $250 million, and it looks like CNN is next in line for its reporting on Covington student Nick Sandmann and his confrontation with fake Vietnam veteran Nathan Philips.

Thank goodness this piece of garbage will never make it through the Senate.

The World's Biggest Debt Slaves: Americans Wimp Out In Just 11th Place
I thought we’d be in 1st place by a wide margin. But, according to  Bank for International Settlements we’re not.
Switzerland is #1 with Canada 6th. Mexico only has a 16% of GDP debt.
Americans are infamous for their eagerness to spend money they don’t have. A whole industry has grown up around making that happen, from payday lenders to the government that guarantees or insures a large portion of the mortgages so that lenders and investors don’t have to carry the risk. Consumer debt is turned into asset-backed securities, from government-guaranteed mortgage-backed securities to subprime-auto-loan-backed securities whose top tranches carry an AA-rating or even a AAA-rating.
It all worked out. But then came the moment when Americans deleveraged, mostly by defaulting on their debts, particularly their mortgage debts, which triggered the US Financial Crisis and then the Global Financial Crisis. The world should have learned a lesson, but no. Who has learned a lesson? American consumers whose household debt in relationship to US GDP has continued to decline.

What is Russia’s Reaction to SpaceX?
They’ve had total control to access to the International Space Station for 8 years since NASA retired the space shuttle. They’ve also received huge chunks of US cash to send people and supplies to the station.
What will happen when SpaceX means they will not longer get that money?
One of the big questions surrounding the first launch of SpaceX's Crew Dragon spacecraft was how the Russians would react. They have held considerable sway in the International Space Station partnership by controlling access to the orbiting laboratory since the 2011 retirement of NASA's Space Shuttle. So far, the Russian response has been one of throwing small bits of shade here and there but trying not to be too obvious about it.
Snip
Certainly this is not the kind of thing one expects to hear too often from Russia about its venerable space program, but this kind of criticism is not unique. Former cosmonaut Valery Ryumin recently said the leaders of Roscosmos are "blowing more smoke than doing anything substantive." And another space editor said the Russian space program was on the cusp of entering the Dark Ages.
At the end of his interview, Lukashevich raises a good question. Until now, Russia has largely either blamed others for its problems in space or overlooked them. Is Russia going to face up to its issues or continue to bluster and entirely squander its remarkable, six-decade legacy of pioneering spaceflight?
